Durcisseur CMA*: colourless, quick drying. Functions • Can be applied to new wood before all waterborne finishes (ULTIMAFLOOR®* and VEGAFLOOR®*). • Strengthens the bonding of the finish, in addition to staining. Guarantees a more efficient protection. • Prevents side bonding by the finish and minimizes the risks of racking. Durcisseur CMA*: allows to fix the colour while reducing flooding of joints. Usage • Parquet floors, wooden floors, old or new staircases. • Compatible with all wood (see recommendations for beech, maple, cherry, and bamboo). Technical data Compositon: Two component solvent based. Stain: Flash point: + 21°C. Packaging: CHROMAFLOOR® in 1 L cans, and Durcisseur CMA* in 100 ml cans. Application rate • Approx: 20-25 m 2 /l. • Application can vary depending on the type of wood between coats and on the applications tools. Application tools • Scraper with a polyamide fibre cloth, cloth or sponge. • Monobrush with a non abrasive brown/beige pad. Dilution • 10 volumes of stain for one volume of Durcisseur CMA*. • Dilution can be done directly in the can. General recommendations • On beech, maple, cherry and bamboo: carry out a full test up to the finish on a hidden area, to verify the final colour. • The wood must be clean, dry, non greasy, and exempt of all prior finish before application (see above). • Compatible with insecticide and fungicide treatment TPC 25* on rough wood before CHROMAFLOOR® application. • Protect all the parts not to be treated. • Remove plants and flowers. Move or cover aquarium. • Follow the indications given by the DURIEU Company. • A more detailed user manuel is available on demand from the technical service. •Soastominimizedeepscratchesduetosanding,carryoutasandingtestwithaparquetsandingmachineequippedwitha40-50grit.
•Dependingonthefinishinglook,continueprogressivelywithasmallergrit(80or100)orstartwithabiggergrit(<40)foradirtyorunevenfloor.
•Useanedgingsanderfortheedges,atrowelorachiselforthecorners.•Ifnecessary,fillinthecracks<2mmwithLIANFLOOR®*andsandwitha80or100grit
dependingonthelastgritused.•Finishwithafinalsandingwithagritupto120-150,dependingonthenatureandthecondition
ofthewood.
DURIEU advice •Respectthescaleofgrittingmentionedabove.Itisimperativenottoskipasizeofgrit.•Adaptthepressureandthespeedofthesandingaccordingtothegritused,thenatureofthe
wood(softorhard)andtheconditionofthewood.Acorrectpreparationisessentialforfinalaspect.
•Alwaysvacuummeticulouslybetweeneachsanding,payingspecialattentiontodusttraps(radiators,skirting,pipes…).
•Withformerlyoiledorwaxedparquet,proceedwithadrycleaningwithCDKP®90*followedbyatrimmingbeforesanding.
Cautionary warnings before application
•Itispreferabletoworkwithanotherpersonandbyzonesof2metresby2.•Keepstirringthemixturebeforeandduringtheapplication.•Usethemixwithin4hoursat20°C.•Donotusewitharoomandwoodtemperatureofbelow10°Corsuperiorto25°C.
Application •Applythemixdirectlyonthefloorstartingontheedges.•Spreadthemixbyrubbingitintothewoodinorderforittopenetratesufficiently.•Useamonobrushtoimprovethepenetrationoftheproductandtoavoidanyeventualcorrection
marks.•Ifadropfallsoranalterationisnecessary,itispossibletocorrectiteasilywithamonobrush.•Goontothenextzoneandstarttheprocessagainwithoutanyrisksofcorrections.
Cleaning advice •Throwthepadandthepolyamidefibreclothawayafteruse.•Canbecleanedwithcellulosethinner.
