WOOD, PLASTIC AND BIO- BASED COMPOSITES AS BUILDING MATERIALS ‘Are plastic or bio-based composites more beneficial than wood as building material for the barrier on ecoduct Koekendaal considering sustainability and costs?’ ABSTRACT In this research an analysis on wood, plastic and biobased composites is done. All three building materials are compared to each other based on their sustainability and costs. These building materials are the three options for a barrier mounted on to ecoduct Koekendaal, so the advice and conclusion are specified to this project.
