The Janka scale is a standard measure of the hardness of wood. With this system, the higher the number, the harder the wood. For more information on this rating, please visit woodfloors.org.
A beautiful and stately tree that grows tall and
even, given some room. It is not unusual for this
tree to be as wide as it is tall, and some have
been known to live for over 500 years. White
Oak takes stain very well and you will see many
shades of colors on this wood.

Birch/BetulaThe Birch is a majestic tree that has been called “Queen of the
woods.” The bark of all birches is characteristically marked with
long horizontal lenticels, which often separate into thin papery
plates. Birch wood can be easily stained, is a light color when in
its unstained form and has subtle graining.

Most hickories are native to North America.
Hickory wood is tough, yet flexible, making it a
favorite with craftsmen of yore for tool handles,
walking canes and golf club shafts. Hickory is
naturally a light wood with dramatic graining.

The Ovengkol is an evergreen tree native to tropical west Africa.
It grows to heights of 100 to 150 feet with trunk diameters of 24
to 36 inches. Its wood is heavy and dense and can be worked
to a very smooth surface. These traits make it an ideal choice for
cabinetry, musical instruments and flooring.
Jatoba is a tree common to the Caribbean,
Central and South America. Although Jatoba
is sometimes referred to as Brazilian or South
American Cherry, it is not a cherry tree.
Jatoba is a very hard wood that features a
tan/salmon color with black accent stripes
that over time turns to a deep rich red color.

A Note About ColorWood is a natural product that changes color over time with exposure to light and other conditions. For this reason, the displayed samples in retail stores may vary in color from new product that is purchased.
The printed wood representations in this brochure may vary from the product as well. For more information about wood we recommend visiting the National Wood Flooring Association online at woodfloors.org.

It’s the finishing touches that can make all the difference in any project. Robina Wood offers a complete line of coordinating trim pieces to help you provide a beautiful finish to your new floor installation.
We strive to use our natural resources responsibly and take many steps in the manufacturing
of our products to protect and preserve the environment. Our all-engineered line makes the
best use of wood by yielding up to five times more flooring than a solid hardwood
product. We select woods based on natural abundance and we purchase these woods from
managed forests. To preserve air quality, we use only the lowest, E1 emissions
adhesives in the manufacturing process and our factory is ISO 9001 compliant. To learn more
