The Colonials skated to a 7-1 victory on Saturday before picking up a 4-1 victory Sunday afternoon. In the series, 12 separtate Colonial players tallied points while six registered multi-point efforts. Sophomore forward Rebecca lead the RMU scoring effort as she scored six goals in the series, five of which came on Saturday. Senior assistant captain Cobina Delaney tallied five points, one goal and four assists. Senior forward Kelsey Thomas also registered five points as she dished out four assists in game one of the series. Senior assistant captain Jamie Joslin scored her sec- ond goal of the season on Sunday while she passed out two assists in the series with the Nittany Lions. Series vs. Rensselaer In the 2011-12 season, RMU earned its first sweep of the RPI Engineers. In game one of the series the Colonials skated to a 5-1 victory while they won game two, 4-2. In game one of last year’s series, Thea Imbrogno registered a three-point performance while Rebecca Vint scored two goals and passed out two assists. In game two, Dayna Newsom and Rebecca Vint scored goals while Anneline Lauziere, Kelsey Thomas, Cobina Delaney, Vint and Imbrogno all registsered assists. Kristen DiCiocco earned both wins in net for RMU while she stopped 47 shots in two games. Scouting Rensselaer The Engineers have faced off against three nationally ranked opponets so far this season. Freshman forward Alexa Gruschow leads RPI in points with 11. The Pennsylvania native has scored seven goals and passed out four assists. Gruschow has scored two power play goals this season. Sophomore forward Eleeza Cox and senior forward Taylor Horton are tied for second in points with eight. Cox has scored five goals and dished out three assists while Horton has scored three goals and registed five assists. Horton currently leads RPI in assists. Both Cox and Horton have tallied one power play goal on the season. Sophomore netminder Kelly O’Brien has seen the most action for RPI playing 409 minutes.
