Wow News around the world…

Please be encouraged by this report from WOW Coordinator Haseeb Masih and Save Pakistan Ministries: Greetings! Today we returned from “Bible’s Distribution” Mission trip. It was amazing to meet the youngsters who gave their hearts to Jesus. We prayed and worshipped together in Christ. I taught them about the reality and truth of God and invited them to come to the Kingdom of God. They had many questions about Jesus and I answered them from the Bible. I told them the Bible is the living word of God and does not change. I thank God that they responded and accepted Jesus as their personal Saviour. We handed out Bibles to 60 youngsters and they promised to spread and share it to save as many

souls as they can. We are very thankful and grateful to you and the WOW Board for the help in winning hundreds of souls for the Kingdom of God. God Bless Haseeb Masih

Many greetings!

This is all of the through your prayer and help.

It’s a wonderful opportunity to share the Love of Christ one with another when we are able to not just speak about Him, but when we

also fill immediate dire physical needs. Demonstrating our Christian principles and values is a wonderful testimony for all, both the giver

and receiver. These are the things for which the Spirit of the Lord has anointed us, to share and care for the poor, for those in need.

Wow Letters

A wonderful testimony of the impact that WOW is making, not just to the people being served, but to the WOW Coordinators too! Fozia Saleem, like so many women in similar circumstances, is a mother of five children. Owing to financial difficulties her children are unable to attend school. Her husband works far from home and she as a servant in non-Christian homes. She fears for the safety of her children at home and wanted to leave work for this reason. However with her financial predicament, she has to work even for the meager earnings she receives, being uneducated and a Christian has limited her options. Because she lives with her husband’s extended family, she also has to contend with taunting from her mother-in-law, but she endures all of this. Along comes WOW! There was no limit to her joy when she was introduced to Women of Worth International. She expressed the desire to train her 13year old daughter to help. In her words, “I shall pray for this project as well as WOW International.” She intends using her gift of embroidery as a means to helping not just herself but those around her! WOW Coordinator Rev. Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! It is an honor to be a minister of Jesus Christ. WOW is a unique way to serve Him. Thank you so much for letting me do something through WOW in Bangladesh. I am thankful to God that He has been helping us to do something for Him! By the grace of God last year we arranged a whole day inter-denominational Women's Conference and children's program at our local church in Dhaka. Every two weeks in a month we are having a Sunday school class among the children. Most of them are coming to join to that class are from the non Christian background, mostly from Islam. Last Sunday I and 3 of our pastors were able to distribute many Christian booklets among the 2nd largest Islamic gathering. The first one is the Hoj at Mokha Sharif in the Middle East. But by number, this one is the biggest gathering than Mokha Sharif in the world. Plans for the Year 2013- WOW of Bangladesh. This year God gave me a message - "The Year of Challenge and Accomplishment." Three children camps ( Two camp in Dhaka and one in Chittagong) Two Women's Conferences: Approximate dates 23rd of August (Dhaka) 13th of September(Dhaka) Please continue to pray for the work we have been doing so that we may hear His voice and go forth and specially for our family. We will be praying for you so that God may give the strength you need to carry His ministry! Your loving son, Ananda Baroi Dhaka, Bangladesh

A word from Pastor Paul Kyakuwa, WOW Coordinator, Entebbe Uganda: “Our ministry is answering a call of Jesus to reach out to the community and change lives. In our community, we have drunkards, less educated, witchcraft etc. Most of my people focus on brick-laying for income. We offer children education and we preach the Gospel to them, we feed them. This is a place where Aids is a big threat. People die daily because of this deadly disease. We help people in our community by providing foods like maize flour, beans, rice and others, especially to the elderly. People are being saved and we have trained fourteen new ministers. We appreciate your humble prayers. We welcome your help” – [email protected].

Christians Persecuted in Pakistan

Almost 178 houses were burned in a mob attack on a Christian community at the Badami Bagh area in Lahore. The attack was supposedly retaliation against a member of the community for having made

blasphemous remarks. During the attack, members of the police including the SHO of the area were also

injured when the mob threw stones at them. The mob comprising of almost 3000 members attacked the Joseph colony on Noor road. The attack was led by Shafiq Ahmed against the supposed blasphemer Savan.

Several houses besides that of Savan were attacked and almost 150 Christian families were forced to flee the area. Savan is currently under arrest and has been moved to an undisclosed location.

By: Pastor Swan.

Please remember our dear brothers and sisters in Christ who have so cruelly been displaced from their

homes, who’ve lost all their possessions. Pray that the Lord will provide and keep them safe.

The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still. Exodus 14:14

REPORT ON MOAM MINISTERS CONFERENCE OF 26-27TH OCTOBER 2012 AT NEW CREATURE CHURCH

APAPA LAGOS – NIGERIA

DAY 1 – Registration Registration of Parhapards began with an opening prayer by Rev. Dr. Aleta followed by praise and worship led by the church choir. The Introduction was done by the General Secretary of all notable men and women of God. Shortly, the welcome speech was given by the MOAM National Director: Rev. Dr. M.A Ogoyemi. TALK 1 – The first talk was given by Rev. Dr. Ajose who spoke on the Topic: Tobiah and Shanballat of our time. He

unequivocally shared the ministers of God to be aware of men in sheep clothing out to discourage our hearts on the real assignment God has given to us. That Tobiah and Shanballat of our day connotes human agents of Satan out to destroy the plan of God for us (Neh. 2:10, 19, 4:1 – 3, 7 – 9, 6:1 -14 and 15 – 19 were the key scriptures of note. Second speaker was Apostle Alao who spoke on “The wall was built” Encouraged the ministers on the need never to give up on God’s assignment to us. There can be different challenges like Nehemiah, He stood firm on the vision God gave to him and won the battle. DAY 2 – The Speaker was Rev. Dr. Oludantan being the Host pastor being represented by the Assistant pastor, spoke on the mending of walls in the church. Such areas that needs mending includes Sunday school, children dept, prayer tower, Bible study all the departments of the church/ministry. He encouraged us to build, mend rather than destroy like Tobiah, Shanballat and Gosem. Whereas, the final talk was handed by Rev. Dr. A.N. Noel the General Secretary who gave all the summary of Day I & II Talks for clarity. He spoke on Divine provision for “rebuilding the wall”. Sharing with the ministers, that whenever God gives a vision provision is always attached. Nehemiah was given a vision and God worked it out for all the ever needed

materially, financially, spiritually and human resource. The programme came to a close about 3.30pm.

Dear Sister Rev. Marilyn. Greetings!

Palm Sunday is what we call the day of the Triumphal Entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. Jesus rode into the city of Jerusalem

on a young donkey while the crowd of people waved palm branches, lay palm branches and coats on the road before Christ, and shouted Hosanna! Blessed be the Name of the Lord! That was one week before Resurrection Sunday.

Save Pakistan organized a Palm Sunday program where more than 100 people came and joined us. People had decorated

their palm branches with flowers and dates; they gave different shapes to their branches of palms to say welcome to Jesus. We gave a message from Zechariah 9-9 and shared with them why he rode on donkey, because Jesus Become

humble for his people around the world. It was really good to see the people were much blessed and active for it.

Save Pakistan and our congregation walked street to street and road to road through singing songs of peace and love, many local people also joined this rally for the glorious walk in Pakistan. Everybody was filled with the passion and joy to celebrate this day for the glory of God. It was great experience to walk by holding palm branches to welcome our Savior

Jesus Christ.

We had also prayed for the Badami Bagh Lahore Incident, everybody cry to God and ask to keep safe his people in Lahore city. We shared that Lord willing Save Pakistan will reach them with relief items soon.

Save Pakistan always blessed to serve for his people in Pakistan, please keep praying for us, so that we could reach more

people for the glory of God.

Now I'm sending you some photographs and videos clip, hope that you will be blessed to see them in Christ.

Words of Wisdom Hardly a day goes by that I do not receive something that says, “Discover the real you.” or a word from someone who has claimed to “Hear from God for my life.” or “How to fulfill your destiny.” Be not deceived: Self is not the answer- it is the problem! God has promised that His words will come to pass – not ours or anyone else’s. Our destiny is Christ likeness. God measures our success in life by the extent to which we become less of ourselves, and more like Christ. We must decrease. He must increase. Only then will we find our true identity and purpose, and destiny. May your life be just as beautiful as God intended for it to be when first he thought of you!

Went to a fundraising dinner tonight for Lifeline Pregnancy Center, (March 21st). Tim Tebow’s Mom, Pam, was the keynote speaker. She told us that her pregnancy with Tim was very difficult. The Doctor’s told her she would lose her life if she did not have an abortion. She and her husband decided not to. They would trust God. And look what GOD did! Not only did she and Tim survive, they are living breathing testimonies to the Grace of God, and many women have decided not to have an abortion after hearing their story. Maybe you are in what appears to be an “impossible situation” right now. Trust God. He will not only bring you through it, He will use your experience to inspire, and encourage others who will also go through what you are going through. God does not waste anything…….especially our tears.

Special thanks Bishop Liberty and Shepherds without Borders for the Eagle Award presented to Delia Thumbadoo – It is indeed an honour serving Jesus alongside you!

A Note from Bishop Liberty's wife, Favor

I am so encouraged by your examples in working with and encouraging women worldwide. I encourage and pray with the women here all of the time and we pray for God to strengthen you daily and grant you wisdom

as the team worldwide grows bigger. We are planning a women’s visitation prison Ministry outreach. We need

also to start a little project to help empower our visitation teams and joint meetings with other chapters. Actually Women of Worth is doing exploits here evangelizing the indigenous and outsiders alike. The groups

here are also planning a joint conference very soon and later a Jesus festival in this year. Keep us in your prayers. I am also very grateful for the coordinators certificate.

Wow says thank you!

As part of a Fundraising initiative in putting together an event that saw all proceeds being donated to Women of Worth International, we would like to thank Ms Mindy Williams, our Secretary Ms Allison Williams, family

and friends for their sterling efforts and months of preparation that went into holding a Quarter Auction on March 16th 2013.

The Williams Family

Flyers were handed out to local churches and a press release which Ms Mindy Williams placed in the local

newspaper. This was a joint collaboration between family and friends of the Williams family. Mindy Williams kindly secured a donation to rent out a Community Centre at the park. She had also arranged for the

workers T-shirts to be printed by a screen printing company. A local church youth group was also present,

selling food and running children’s games to make the event a family fun day! Thank you to all you wonderful people who have made this fundraiser such a success! God Bless you as you have sown good seed

into the lives of all who will benefit from the proceeds of this event.

Whoever is kind to the poor is lending to the LORD— the benefit of his gift will return to him in abundance. Proverbs 19:17

Wow says thank you!

With the generosity of our WOW family, all monies donated to Women of Worth International find its way to meeting and filling urgent needs of our organization. What a thrill and joy it is to bring relief and comfort to

those in need. Jesus was always concerned for the wellbeing and welfare of those who sought Him and in

His words, “And if you give even a cup of cold water to one of the least of my followers, you will surely be rewarded.” Matthew 10:42. You will recall from previous Newsletters, the strong alliance we have forged with the girls and babies at La

Casita. La Casita is a shelter in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, for abused girls. These girls were picked up off the streets where they were used as "Mules," distributing drugs for drug dealers. Casita is a refuge for 75

teenage girls, in San Pedro Sula, unjustly tainted by drug leaders. As children, their innocence is stolen as

they are used to transport drugs. Some of them have babies.

THANK YOU! To all of you who contributed to the Beauty Shop in the Girl's Shelter! And thank you to Nicole Bravo and her family who oversaw the project. We have ongoing projects at the shelter and the needs are so

great. Each of us doing even a small part put together, makes for a great amount to accomplish great things

for God in the girl's lives. Donate at www.wowintl.net — in San Pedro Sula, Cortes.

The New Life Center works with girls and young women from the hill tribe minority groups of northern Thailand who are at risk for or victims of exploitation, abuse, and human trafficking. The program provides educational and residential services, vocational and life skills training, and therapeutic activities. New Life Center also works with the Royal Thai government to advocate against and raise awareness of human trafficking. Widowed. Destitute. HIV-positive. These words could be used to describe the women of the Proverbs 31 artisan group in Uganda. But as they make colorful, attractive beaded jewelry out of recycled paper—you’d never guess—their hearts join together in song and their faces

light up with smiles of joy! Sales of their beautiful, handmade items provide badly needed income to meet their families’ most basic needs, such as food and rent. Today, words that best describe these Proverbs 31 women would be hopeful, encouraged, and full of

WorldCrafts is thrilled to welcome Shelano in India as one of our newest artisan groups.

The young women of Shelano have come from the slums in the south of Kolkata. With their background and limited education, finding a

job is difficult, if not impossible. By purchasing their handmade products, you are not only getting a fairly traded product, you are giving

a woman an opportunity to take care of her family and invest in the future she now has. Each kantha is unique, made by a unique

woman with her unique story. As it goes from her hands to yours, you are helping a woman earn some money of her own and

contributing to her confidence and well-being.

Many, if not most, of the people I work with around the world, I have never met. That includes hundreds of WOW Coordinators and tens of thousands of WOW women in over 90 countries. I love all of them and am

grateful for what they contribute to my life.

One of them is Delia Thumbadoo, a WOW Board Member who lives in Auckland, New Zealand. Although we

have never met our hearts are knit together as one. You probably have never met her either, yet she blesses your life every week with the WOW Gems of Grace. Like me, perhaps you are always inspired, and uplifted

by Delia's remarkable devotionals. Perhaps you too are amazed at the way they not only inform, but also

touch the heart.

God has led us to put Delia's devotionals in a book to hand out to WOW women in developing nations. These women have no bookstores or way to obtain written material, and even if they did they could not

afford them. A book of devotionals would be a treasured gift to them. One they will share with all of their

family and friends.

If you have enjoyed receiving Gems of Grace we would like to offer you the opportunity to share them with poor women around the world. Your donation, (and no amount is too small) will enable us to print books to

hand out at no cost to the women attending the upcoming National Conferences. We can have the books printed for only $2.00 each.

One of the greatest blessings of my life is to pass along to others the blessings I receive, because I believe we are blessed to be a blessing. I know you feel that way too. If you have been blessed by Delia's Gems of

Grace will you consider donating to print even one or more books?

There is a woman in the world that will be eternally grateful for your generosity. It will make a meaningful

difference in her life and in the lives she touches. Thank you for caring and for sharing.

Much love,

Marilyn Orton
