Distribution of female MP is uneven among LAC countries
Medical physics: the women workforce in this area is low and has not been increasing at the same rate of the others medical professionals
Physicians: there is gender equality
Nurses: approximately 80% are women
The number of women in medical physics educational programs has been increasing in the last decade;
There has been an increase of women participation in MP, but the numbers are still lower than men’s. 1. Distribution of female MP is uneven among LAC countries and salary differences continue to be a reality;
The majority is dedicated to RT
Significant efforts should be made to encourage women to be a MP professional
