Vishvashanti Vrittant - April 2011 1 Bharatiya Sanskriti Darshan Trust VOL. : 111 APRIL 2011 “Cancer Research Project” of Ayurved Hospital & Research Centre of Bharatiya Sanskriti Darshan Trust, Wagholi organized a Cervical Cancer detection camp for women at – Swarovaski India Private Ltd., Ranjangaon on 06/03/2011 and 07/03/2011 between 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The camp was organised under the guidance of Prof. Dr. S. P. Sardeshmukh and Research Incharge Dr. Vineeta Deshmukh. Aim of this health camp was to perform general breast examination and Pap smear in women for early detection of Breast & Cervical cancer respectively. Guidance about awareness of women's diseases with their prevention was also given through lectures in the camp. th Camp was started at 10:00 am. on 6 March 2011. 400 women were benefited through lectures in four batches in this camp. Lectures were delivered by Dr. Mrs. Pratibha Bhave., M.D. - Streerog Prasuti (Department of Gynecology) and Dr. Mrs. Bhagyashree Sardeshmukh, M.D - Kayachikitsa (Department of Medicine). On 7th March breast examination was done of 70 employees by Dr. Mrs. Shweta Gujar, M.D., Kayachikitsa (Department of Medicine). Breast Lumps were detected in 2 patients. F. N. A. C. test was advised to these two patients. A survey of Gynaecological & obstetrics complaints was carried out in 70 employees with the help of specially designed questionnaire. Pap smear Test for cervical cancer detection was performed on 48 employees by Dr. Mrs. Pratibha Bhave and Dr. Archana Kulkarni, M.D. Roganidan (Department of Pathology). Exhibition on ‘Cancer- Ayurved’ was also arranged on this occasion. Scientific information regarding Cancer through Ayurvedic point of view, Causes of Cancer, Symptoms of Cancer of various types, Investigations required, Ayurvedic treatment, Balanced diet, Proper regime, Preventive measures of Cancer from Ayurvedic perspective was given by Marathi charts in simple language in this Exhibition Paramedical Staff Mrs. Rupali Gaikwad, Miss. “Cancer Research Project” of Ayurved Hospital & Research Centre of Bharatiya Sanskriti

Darshan Trust, Wagholi organized a Cervical Cancer detection camp for women at – Swarovaski

India Private Ltd., Ranjangaon on 06/03/2011 and 07/03/2011 between 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The camp was organised under the guidance of Prof. Dr. S. P. Sardeshmukh and Research

Incharge Dr. Vineeta Deshmukh.

Aim of this health camp was to perform general breast examination and Pap smear in women for

On 7th March breast examination was done of 70 employees by Dr. Mrs. Shweta Gujar, M.D.,

Kayachikitsa (Department of Medicine). Breast Lumps were detected in 2 patients. F. N. A. C. test

was advised to these two patients.

One day Re- orientation and Sensitization Workshop in IMNCI (Integrated Management of Neonatal

and Childhood Illness) was organised by Maharashtra University of Health Science, Nashik in the thcollaboration with UNICEF on 6 April 2011 at Sahyadri Guest House Malbar Hill, Mumbai.

On this occasion , Hon. Prof. Dr. Arun Jamkar - Vice Chancellor of Maharashtra University of Health

Science, Nashik, Hon. Prof. Dr. Mrudula Phadake Ex. Vice Chancellor of Maharashtra University of

Health Science, Nashik, and UNICEF consultant, Dr. Bhodhankar, Dr. Suryakar, Registrar Maharashtra

University of Health Science, Nashik and Dr. Deshmukh were present on dias.

Dr. Phadake and Dr. Jamkar addressed about integration of Ayurved in IMNCI. Then Dr. Bodhankar,

Dr. Gite and Col. Madhuri Kantikar delivered very elaborative lectures with power point presentations.

Dr. Deshpande, Dr. Bhave, Dr. Muntode and Dr. Nitesh Joshi from Bharatiya Sanskriti Darshan

Trust’s Ayurved College were present for this workshop.

Health Check up Camp“Cancer Research Project” of Ayurved Hospital Research & Development of Bharatiya Sanskriti

Darshan Trust, Wagholi organized a health Check up camp at Pondhe Village and Malshiras Village near thYawat, Pune with collaboration of Rotary Club, Hadapsar on 10 April 2011.

The camp was organized under the able guidance of Prof. Dr. S. P. Sardeshmukh.

Aim of this health camp was to perform General health check up of people along with necessary

pathological investigations. Guidance about awareness of women's diseases with their prevention was

also given in the camp.

Health check up of 90 people was performed in the camp. 20 medical and paramedical staff of

Ayurved Hospital and Research Centre was contributed in the camp.

Total 13 Pap smear tests and 70 Blood sugar Check up were done in the camp.

Dr. Dipak Laddha (Oncopathilogist), along with research assistants like Dr. Vijay Ramdasi,

Dr. Jathar, Dr. Taru, Dr. Shweta Gujar , Dr. Kishore Karle, Dr. Bhagyashree Sardeshmukh, Dr. Sabir

Mujawar, Dr. Devishala Shelke, Dr. Kulkarni, Dr. Chaitali Yadav, Dr. Akshar Kulkarni were participated in

this camp. Paramedical staff Mrs.Rupali Gaikwad, Mr. Sachin Katare, Miss. Dhanashree Dedage also

participated in this camp.

Respected Prof. Dr. Chabhu Londhe, renowned Gynaecologist and Ex -

Superintendent of Seth Tarachand Hospital, Pune expired due to prolonged

illness on Monday 21-3-2011. Late Dr. Londhe completed his B.A.M.& S.

graduation & post graduation in Gynecology & Obstetrics from Tilak Ayurved

College, Pune. He was also honoured by the M.A.S.C. & A.V.P. degrees.

He was an excellent Professor of Gynecology & Obstetrics Department in

Tilak Ayurved College & Bharatiya Sanskriti Darshan Trust , Wagholi. Many students completed their

post graduation and Ph.D. under his guidance.

Late Dr. Londhe, was a skilled surgeon, an expert in Hysterectomy & Caesarean section. His surgical

skills have helped many women to cure their illness. A number of workshops and camps had been done

successfully under his guidance.

We at Bharatiya Sanskriti Darshan Trust, Ayurved Hospital Research & Development, Ayurved

College, Atharva Ayurved Pharmaceuticals & Sanjeevani Vibhag gives a heartfelt tribute to late

Dr. Londhe .

Dr. Nitin Unkule’s Visit to Yoga Adhyayan Kendra, WagholiDr. Nitin Unkule, well known personality in the field of Yoga in India and abroad, visited to Bharatiya

thSanskriti Darshan Trust Ayurved College and Hospital Wagholi on 4 March 2011.He was introduced to

the institute by Dr. Arvind Kulkarni, Chairman of the Integrated Cancer Research Centre Wagholi, Pune.

On this occasion, Dr. S. G. Natu, H. O. D. of Swasthavrutta department, Dr. Tekawade - Principal of

Bharatiya Sanskriti Darshan Trust Ayurved College, Vice Principal - Dr. Khot and Dr. S. P. Sardeshmukh,

Chairman of the institute were present on the dias.

Dr. Nitin Unkule delivered lecture on yoga with the help of power point presentation. In this speech he

threw light on topic like definition of Yoga, Yam, Niyam, Aasan and Pranayam. He elaborated the benefits

of Suryanamaskar. Also he stretched benefits of other Aasanas in curing various diseases.

Dr. Laxman Lavagankar gave a warm welcome to Dr. Nitin Unkule and narrated him briefly about the

Yoga Adhyayana Kendra. Dr. Nitesh Joshi introduced Dr. Unkule to the students. Dr. Kotlwar gave vote of

thanks.

The programme was conducted by Dr. Sanjyot Ambawale.
