The SRC felt strongly about fundraising to support the Farmers’ Drought Appeal. The SRC ask our families to support this appeal by donating food items to their child’s class so they can be bundled up and sent to the farmers. Please look in your pantry cupboards and see if you have something spare that you can donate. Items need to be in by Friday 21st November.
On Thursday 4th December, the SRC is running a Cupcake day. Cupcakes will be available for 50c or $1.00, depending on size.
2015 Kinder Orientation There was a great turn out for our 2015 Kinder Orientation last Friday. It was very exciting for our students to see our new Kinders for next year. Tomorrow will be our second Kinder Orientation day.
Assemblies - Certificates The countdown is on! There are only 4 Friday assemblies left this year. Therefore, it is that time of the year where students need to find any blue or gold awards at home that they have not handed in yet. Students need 5 blue awards to gain a gold award and 3 gold awards to receive a platinum award. Awards need to be handed in by Wednesday 3rd December in order to receive awards by the end of the year.

LIBRARY NEWS
As you already know, this year’s Book Fair was a huge success. Consequently, we have been able to purchase hundreds of beautiful books for our library and classroom reading programs.
We would like to have the books on the shelves as soon as possible. If you could spare an hour or two to help with covering the books we would like to hear from you. We have the contact and plastic. If you have a busy schedule and cannot make it into school to cover the books, we are happy to send them home for you to cover at your leisure. It is easy to do when you know how and we can help you with your technique.
Thank you,
Lesley Killingbeck Relieving Teacher Librarian

North Coast Drought Appeal
The SRC have decided to contribute to the North Coast Farmers’ Drought Appeal this year and asking is each family to donate a food item that we can send to the farmers. Farmers in Australia are struggling and we would like to make their Christmas a little brighter by sending them some food items.
Please send in a donation with your child. They are to go to your child’s classroom, not the office please.
Food items need to be in date and have their labels attached. Please see below for a list of ideas.
I will be delivering the items to Anne Thompson, the coordinator of the appeal, during Week 8 so please send in your donations by Friday 21st November.
The SRC have also decided to use some of their funds to purchase games and toys to send with our food items.
Thank you for your support in this very worth-while cause.
Please remember to wear purple or yellow next Tuesday

Dear Parents/Carers, Each year we seek parental support by way of donations towards our Presentation Morning Awards. There are five awards given to each class – General Achievement, Co-operative Class Member and Most Improved, plus two special awards. We appreciate any donations from families or individuals ($25 per award). If you are able to make a donation towards our Presentation Morning Awards, we would appreciate receiving them by Friday 5 December. The school will allocate the donations to particular awards unless there is a special request from the donor. All donors will be acknowledged on the Presentation Morning Program to be held on Friday 12 December. We very much appreciate the support that is always given in this matter.
