Meet the Teacher
- Jordan Anchors and Mina Dryden
This month’s Meet the Teacher is our
new 3rd grade teacher Mrs. Corinne
Lamb. She grew up in Rockford, Illinois
and went to high school in Clearwater,
FL. She is a former figure skater and was
an NFL cheerleader for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Mrs. Lamb has been
teaching since 1996 when she decided to pursue her dream of teaching
at the age of 38. She went to college at the University of South Florida
and then stayed in South Florida to start her teaching career. Mrs. Lamb
has 3 kids who are 20, 23, and 26. While Mrs. Lamb was teaching in
Clearwater, she lost 2 former students in the Parkland Shooting.
However, this didn’t stop her from continuing to pursue her dream. Mrs.
Lamb became a teacher because she loves “seeing the lightbulb go off
in kids’ heads when they finally understand something.” We are so glad
that Mrs. Lamb has decided to join us at Liberty Pines Academy and we
hope she has a great year.
Students of the Month
- Kaitlyn Greenwald and Libby Williams
Our first student of the month is Ty
Hayes from Mrs. Tilley’s third grade
class. Ty’s favorite subject is science

Tilley says Ty goes above and beyond in
class by following directions and setting
a good example for the other students.
Ty is always really helpful and is ready
to learn when he walks into class. Our second student of the
month is Christopher Li in Mrs.
Krusemark’s 4th grade class.
Christopher is a role model in
class; he always helps clean and
is always very respectful, Mrs.
Krusemark says. He likes to
write in class and for fun, he also
likes to read fantasy books. He
likes playing flag football with
his friends and brother.
Christopher said he also loves to
play with his two cats and his
dog for fun.
- Lianna Mound and Samantha Solomon

Cove Middle School, 44-17. Our 6th grade girls are still

team.” Make sure to come out and support our boys
Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30!

Reading Buddies
- Lianna Mound and Samantha Solomon
The week of the 14th, while many of the 8th graders were at Washington DC on their trip, Mrs. Houston took some of her language arts students to read to kindergarten classes. The 8th graders chose a book from the library, then when they got to the kindergarten class, they were paired up with 2-3 kindergarteners. After the book was finished, the kindergarteners got a chance to read to the 8th graders. The classes we visited include Mrs. Lamkin, Mrs. Dudley, Mrs. Shepherd, and Mrs. Samuels. “The students loved hearing the big kids read to them and the 8th graders did a fantastic job entertaining the kindergarteners,” said Mrs. Dudley. Mrs. Lamkin said, “Some of my kids who will not read with anyone else actually read with their reading buddy.”
