3 EXAMPLE ....................................................................................................................................................... 15
1 Installation Guide Upon installing the RTStand User Interface, following installer wizard steps must be followed:
The RTStand User Interface runs only when a NI TestStand 2014 license is active on the target PC. The installer shows the user this information as well as a download link for NI TestStand.
At the end of the installation, the following message may come up before the actual installer finishes:
It is recommendable that the user chooses the option to restart later and wait for the installer to properly finish, but it is safe for the user to restart at this point.
2 Starting the RTStand User Interface The first program start must be done as Administrator. For further info, please ask your system administrator. Upon starting, the following window will be shown asking the user to either purchase, activate or evaluate the software.
For the activation, once the user choose to activate the user Interface, there are two possibilities:
The user must send the two User Codes per telephone to WKS Informatik (Telephone: 0049 751 36 660 60). The user will then become the two activation codes needed and the software can then be activated.
3 Example At the program start, an empty sequence or the latest one loaded will be displayed.
The Installation provides an example sequence which is found at (when installed with default paths): c:\users\public\Documents\WKS Informatik\RTStand User Interface\Examples\Main.seq.
When the Main.seq is loaded, sequence information is then displayed in the Home tab:
The user can customize this data, according to the RTStand User Interface User Guide, as well as Logo and TestStand Tools menu links. The Sequence File tab displays the sequence and allows the user to edit it:
Using the Start buttons on the Home tab, the user can start the Main.seq.
The Interface will then make the Overview tab active. This tab can be customized by the user (see RTStand User Interface User Guide) (or by WKS Informatik) in order to display DUT information and status.
The Custom Views tab can display an unlimited number of customizable views, containing test information. The user (or WKS Informatik) can customize these views according to the RTStand User Interface User Guide.
Upon double-clicking on the report list, at the end of an execution, the corresponding TestStand report (or a custom one, if implemented) will be display on the Report tab.
All customizable parts of the RTStand User Interface can be changed by the user, using NI LabVIEW knowledge and documented interfaces to NI TestStand (see RTStand User Interface User Guide).
4 Uninstall The two software components can be unistalled through the Windows‘ Control Panel.
