Querência Hostel has been developing a pionner ecology-

oriented work since 1995 in the Park, itself, and also in its

surroundings. We suply and rent all the necessary gear and

provide bilingual guide , transportation in 4x4 vehicle,

mules and food in tours that are safe, but most of all, fun!

Querência Hostel is a member of the “Albergue da Juventude” ( H.I.). Wealso host non-members. We provide 47 beds distribuited in 14 rooms, beensome shared and others for couples and the family. We have a library, a bigporsh with a barbecue pit and hammocks, shuttlecok field, laundry and a kitchen for members. Come feel the Hosteling spirit, exchanging experienceswith brazilian and people from all over the world.

Being away only 16 km (10 miles) from Querência Hostel, Cedar’s Lodge is oneprivate conservation unit located in one of the most espetacular river oh theCaparaó range, the “Rio Claro”(clear river). We offer two houses with all of thekitchen and beding itens for a total of up to 20 people. We program trails inthe surrounding areas, besides the famous “River Trekking”, that is the climbing of the “Rio Claro” through the rocks until its source. UNFORGETABLE!! NOT TO BE MISSED!!

Our tours are done by capable guides tohandle the safe being of our climbs being them families, schools orindividual tourist. The 4x4 transportation is done in confortable vehicles and every passenger is insured. The mules are used to transport gear and people to “Terreirão”camp site.

RIVER TREKKING A walk along the river

This tour takes us to know the most spetacularriver in the Caparaó range, the “Rio Claro”.Lasting around 6 hours we climb up throughthe rocks of the river, passing through naturalpools and breathtaking waterfalls. Lunch is servedat the famous “Merge of the Rivers”.The returntrip is done in a beatiful trail through the woods.
