• Internet Explorer 8 is an example of a a Web browser which is software that enables you to use the World Wide Web and navigate from page to page and site to site.

• A home page is the Web page that displays every time you start Internet Explorer 8.

• Protocol is a set of rules for transferring data over the Internet.– File Transfer Protocol (ftp) is a protocol

that enables individuals to copy files from one computer to another on a network.

– Hypertext Transfer Protocol (http) is a protocol that enables individuals to download files from another computer on a network.
