The Wisconsin World War II Honor Roll marks the first time that the comprehensive list of all 8,432 deaths of Wisconsin service- men and women, representing all branches of the armed forces, has been compiled and presented in one format. This is a project of the Wisconsin Historical Society and Wisconsin Public Television, in association with the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs. Further information on Wisconsin’s role in World War II can be found at wisconsinstories.org. The site features archival material, information on all broadcasts in the World War II series, stream- ing video, a collection of veterans’ portraits and advice on gathering and preserving war memorabilia and oral histories. Wisconsin World War II Honor Roll 1941 – 1945 Funding for the Wisconsin World War II series is provided by the John and Carolyn Peterson Charitable Foundation; Duard and Dorothea Walker; Demco, a John E. Wall family-owned business; contributors to the Wisconsin Program Fund and the National Endowment for the Hu- manities; Philip J. and Elizabeth B.
