You will see next to some venues. The Visual Arts Panel have this year selected these as some of the best work in the trail and recommend them to you. Metro-Boulot-Dodo’s Whispers from a Rickshaw Take a ride on the rickshaw and immerse yourself in stories exploring notions of fate, luck and the journeys we take to fulfil our dreams. From Memorial Hall – throughout the weekend Unbroken Thread A site specific performance for the Heritage Centre. Textiles, contemporary music and performance weave through the space, inviting you to experience the stories held within its walls. Heritage Centre - throughout the weekend Free Chill Out Sessions at Peak House Practice Take a quick break from the Trail and relax your mind and body with a 20 minute guided relaxation sessions to help you recharge and a cup of Chinese green tea to refresh! Places limited - please sign up at Peak House Practice on the day. Saturday 11th St John Street Theatre Company - PARROT The popular St John Theatre Company returns with a lively new show – a comic tale of love and misfortune, full of festive fun, with unexpected twists and turns. Church Walk at 11.30am, 1.30pm, 3.30pm Spiral Arts – Free Family Drop In Workshop; Interweave ~ interlace Spiral Arts will be creating four giant tepees symbolizing the different aspects of the environment and invite you to come and make weavings to attach to the 4th tepee. Wirksworth C of E School, 1-3pm BMW Brass Band – Free Workshop and Performance Free brass workshop for beginners to experienced players. Come along and have a go and then stay on for the concert at 3pm. Memorial Gardens 2-4pm Charity Shop DJ Hope and Anchor 7pm – Free Comedy Night The Wheatsheaf 8.30pm, £10 Sunday 12th Spiral – Arrivals What happens when a group of people have time to kill waiting for a train, or a plane, or a bus? An everyday wait at the bus stop turns into a waltz of the suitcases. Spiral is a company with experienced learning disabled performers. The Hope and Anchor and the Blacks Head 4pm-late The Great Shakespearean Workout A 60-minute, fun aerobic session, to the beat of Shakespeare’s verse! Please wear loose clothing and bring along a bottle of water. Suitable for people aged 10 and above.
