• Fans of winter sports can revel in the thrilling adventures of dog sledding, ice fishing, and kite skiing on frozen lakes.

The biggest winter carnival in the world takes place on the Plains of Abraham over three weekends from the end of

January to mid-February, with winter sports competitions, ice-sculpture contests, and parades.

BONHOMME SNOWMAN MASCOT

• With its Bonhomme snowman mascot, the festival has been running for 60 years, and doesn’t show any signs of slowing down.
