Q2. The cost of fencing a rectangular park at Rs 28.50 per metre is Rs 3648. Find its length
and breadth if they are in a ratio of 5:3.
Q3. Find the number of square tiles each of side 50 cm, which will be required to cover the
floor of a room which is 4 m long and 3 m wide.
Q4. A square carpet of side 2.5 m is laid on the floor of a room which is 4.5 m long and
3.5 m wide. Find the area of the floor that is not carpeted.
Q5. Find the ratio of the number of prime numbers to the number of composite numbers
between the numbers 1 and 20.
Q6. A mason gets paid at the rate of Rs 98.25 per day. What will be his pay at the end of
January which had 5 Sundays and 4 Saturdays? Assume that he does not work on
weekends.
Q7. Vinita bought some hair clips and hair bands. There were 35 more hair clips than hair
bands. If the ratio between the hair clips and the hair bands is 8:3, find the number of
each of them purchased by Vinita.
Q8. The perimeter of a square is 64 m. The area of a rectangle is 6 sq metres less than the
area of the given square. If the length of the rectangle is 25 m, find its breadth.
