What is WINGS?

WINGS is an education program that teaches low-income kids how to behave well, make good decisions and build healthy relationships.

We do this by weaving a comprehensive social and emotional learning curriculum into a fresh and fun after school program.

• 42% of all U.S. children are low-income • Low-income students graduate high school at

lower rates• 50% of African American girls become pregnant

before 20• 15% male black male juvenile delinquency rate

• Price of failing to graduate:• $630,000 in lifetime personal income• $240,000 in social welfare costs• 22% of daily jailing rate for young black males
