There’s plenty of rich dark berries with white pepper and some cedar wood notes in the finish. Domaine Wachau Gruner Veltliner 2010 (Austria): This is quintessential Gruner Veltliner with slight-

ly herbal aromatics that segue into white pepper and hints of tropical fruit. It is dry and crisp, medium-bodied,

and it has an enticingly long finish. It pairs well with schnitzels and wursts, but also with seafood and cheeses.

Potel Pouilly-Fuisse 2010 (France): This is 100% Chardonnay has mineral and smoky overtones, and the

flavors are in balance with the medium body and acidity of the overall wine style. The body and especially the

dryness make it perfect for mid-intensity savory foods, such as veal.

Brassfield Pinot Noir 2010 (California): This Pinot has interesting flavors and very nice acidity. The

vines are grown on the Brassfield Estate in Clearlake. Winemaker David Ramey used a percentage of the fruit

“whole-cluster”, and the fermentation was carried out with native yeasts. It is medium-weight for Pinot Noir.

Canapone Maremma 642 Toscana 2009 (Italy): The “6” part of the “642” is the grapes which are Cab-

ernet, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Syrah, Sangiovese, and Montepulciano. The “42” part refers to the latitude of the

vineyards. The blend is dry and richly-concentrated, with good balance between fruit and structure.

Chateau de Campuget Tradition Rosé 2011 (France): 70% Syrah & 30% Grenache Noir make up this

bright pink easy drinking rosé. Fine scents of red berries add to the overall enjoyment and make it the per-
