France - Hugel & Fils - Alsace

Founded in 1639, Hugel & Fils is one of the most famous names in Alsace wine. Outside of Alsace, as the ambassador of the region, Hugel & Fils has established Alsace Wines as some of the finest in the world. Inside Alsace, it has lead the region not only in terms of quality, but also in how Alsace wine is made. Hugel pioneered the making of Vendange Tardive (late harvest) wines in Alsace, also wrote the legislation for the category. Hugel & Fils is a member of the elite international “Primum Familiae Vini” (First Family of Wine) Group.

Australia

“Power, concentration, richness, length – These are the characteristics sought after in a great Aussie red wine. These traits are embodied in the stunning red wine offerings from Fox Creek wines. From the outset, the philosophy of Jim & Helen Watts, founders of Fox Creek, has been to produce wines of top quality, that are characteristic of the Mac Laren Vale area. Fox Creek has established a strong reputation, both in Australia & worldwide, for achieving just that.”

“The Pewsey Vale Vineyard has a long and illustrious past. It was first established by Joseph Gilbert, an Englishman who landed in Australia in 1839 from Wiltshire’s Vale of Pewsey. Joseph purchased the property in 1847 and named it after his ancestral home.”

The name Ringbolt is taken from Ringbolt Bay, which is located on the South West coast of Australia adjacent to some of the renowned vineyards of Margaret River. The Bay is named after a merchant ship. The Ringbolt, which founded on the rocks in the bay during a storm. The Margaret River region is renowned for Superior Cabernet Sauvignon, wine of great depth, structure and flavor – true elegance with power and Ringbolt is no exception.

La Braccesca – Tuscany, Montepulciano

The La Braccesca estate, purchased by the Antinori family in the early nineties, is situated in Montepulciano, south-eastern Tuscany. The region is one of the most interesting parts of Tuscany and indeed Italy. For centuries, Montepulciano wines have been greatly appreciated for their unique character.

Located in the north east corner of the Adriatic, where the Mediterranean meets central Europe, Livio Feluga uses its long family tradition to create uniquely great wines with the instantly recognizable fragrances and aromas of the Friuli region. Livio Felluga’s passion and tenacity have created one of Friuli’s most impressive wineries, earning Felluga the universally acknowledged reputation as the winery that re-established Friuli’s winemaking heritage.

Livio Felluga - Friuli

The combination of climate – hot summer days, cool, windy evenings and foggy mornings, and alluvial soils deposited by ancient rivers forms the ideal cradle to nurture many grape varietals, including Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Irony wines are crafted from grapes selected from vineyards in different Napa Valley microclimates to deliver elegant wines that can be enjoyed with food or on their own.

France – Nicolas Perrin - Rhône The story of these wine is about the meeting of two passionate wine families from the Rhone Valley, located at the two extremities, one in the south and one in the north. At the north, Nicolas Jaboulet who has been walking the hills of Hermitage since his youngest age and in the south the Perrin Family with its roots there since the beginning of the twentieth century. Maison Nicolas & Perrin wines are the reflection of the terroir. Each appellation is unique and reflects its differences, its specificity and sublime potential.

France - Hugel & Fils – Alsace

“The Montenisa estate is situated in the hearth of Franciacorta around the village of Calino, south of the lake of Iseo. In 1158 the bishop of Brescia ceded the village to a local aristocratic family, and towards the end of the 16th century the property was inherited by Lavinia Calini, who got married with Gaetano Maggi. This noble Brescian family were to remain the owners of the Estate. In 1999 the Marchese Antinori and Conti Maggi families agreed to share the running of the beautiful land around the villa, in order to make a great Franciacorta from these noble vineyards.

The Antinori family has been crafting fine wine since 1385 for more than 26 generations. Combining centuries-old tradition with modern innovation, Antinori is Italy’s number-1 wine-producing families and one of he world’s most prestigious fine-wine dynasties. In 1999, Antinori received the distinguished Service Award from Wine Spectator Magazine, recognizing “a leader who has made significant contributions to the wine industry”.

OPAWA means “Smokey River” in Maori, Opawa Pinot Noir is named after the vineyard in which the Nautilus Winery is situated. The Opawa River formed the gravel soils that make up the Marlborough winegrowing heartland, and lead to the ripe, juicy structure of the wine. Building on Nautilus’reputation as one of the region’s most respected producers of Pinot Noir, and its specialized Pinot Noir winemaking facility, Opawa meets the demand for a top quality, affordable pinot.

The first official bottling under Fairview label was in 1974. Fairview, the mother brand, represents top quality wines made in a traditional style, while embracing South African terroir. The wines are with consistent quality, complex without being flashy. The single Vineyard Wines are the flagships of the Fairview range which are bolder in style.

Australia – Moss Wood – Margaret River

Spain – The Eguren Family

The Eguren Family has been making wine in San Vicente de la Sonsierra since 1870, and dedicated to the noble art of cultivating the land and harvesting its fruits for five generations. Sierra Cantabria, the spearhead winey of the Egurens, produces traditional but classy Riojan wines that often have a percentage of American oak maturation. The well-crafted range begins with the great value Cosecha through to the single vineyard super-cuvee’s such as the Amancio and Finca El Bosque.

South Africa – The Sadie Family – The Cape

The Sadie Family Wines, located in the Malmesbury region of South Africa, was established by Eben Sadie, who used to be winemaker of Charles Back’s Spice Route winery. He left in 2000 and has since established a stellar reputation for his Columella and Palladius wines, which are widely regarded as among the best red and white wines, respectively, from the Cape.

“The Winery that put the Margaret River among Australia’s top quality areas. Moss Wood Cabernet seems to define the style of the region : sweetly clean, faintly grassy, intensely deep and compact – almost thick.” – Hugh Johnson

Moss Wood is a premium wine producer located in the Margaret River wine region of western Australia. The area is regarded as one of the Australia’s premium grape growing regions. Owners Keith & Clare Mugford enjoy the challenge of consistently producing high quality wines at Moss Wood. All decisions made in the vineyard and winery are based on the effect they will gave on the quality of the wine.

Australia – Fox Creek – McLaren Vale

“Super intense, ripe, hedonistic wines…true blockbusters.” – Robert Parker

Power, concentration, richness, length – these are the characteristics sought after in a great Aussie red wine. These traits are embodied in the stunning red wine offerings from Fox Creek Wines. From the outset, the philosophy of Jim and Helen Watts, founders of Fox Creek, has been to produce wines of top quality, that are characteristic of the McLaren Vale area. Fox Creek has established a strong reputation, both in Australia and worldwide, for achieving just that.

Vinedos Sierra Cantabria – Rioja

After the adventure started in Siera Cantabria, the family started to look at the old wines with more of an open mind, advocating new winemaking methods to create Vinedos Sierra Cantabria. A range of wines are produced with wines of between 1 and 70 years of age, the majority of which are over 25 years old.

Teso La Monja – Toro

Bodega Teso La Monja represents a new era of the Eguren family. The quality of wines produced in Teo La Monja estate is a step up from the “Numanthia”, which was rated 100 points by Robert Parker in 2007.This single vineyard premium range of wine is made by carefully selecting perfectly matured Tinta de Toro grapes from the vineyards in the estate. The Eguren experience passed down from generation and the profound Knowledge of the area, has created wines which are elegant and full, fresh but fruity and well balanced.

Prunotto - Piedmont

“Prunotto, now owned by the Tuscan firm of Antinori, continues to turn out superlative examples of Piedmontesewines.” – Robert Parker

For the last century, the famous and prestigious Prunotto wine house has been producing some of Italy’s greatest wines. Pioneers of the single-vineyard concept, the high quality of the Prunotto wines depends not only on rigorous selection of the finest grapes, but also on careful wine-making, the result of a century of experience, and a great passion and love for wine.

Australia - Rockford – Barossa Valley

“These are our living treasures and it all goes to show we need proper authority to protect them. They are some of the most individual, spectacularly flavored wines made in the Barossa today with an emphasis on old low-yielding, drylandvineyards.” James Halliday

Robert O’Callaghan, owner of Rockford Wines, is one of the heroes of the Australian wine industry. Established in 1971, Rockford’s vintage shed is equipped with the plant that is 50 to 100 years old. This allows Rockford to carry on old winemaking traditions and craft wines that capture and reflect the vineyard’s characteristics in a timeless fashion. While these are some of the most sought-after wines in Australia today, it is not the rarity value that makes them so special, it is the fact that in buying a Rockford wine you are buying a piece of Australia’s wine history.

USA

Antica – Napa Valley

ANTICA is a symbol for Antinori California and represents the realization of a long standing desire and it also a milestone in the production of great Antinori Family wines in the Napa Valley. The California adventure all began in 1966 when Piero Antinori first travelled to the Napa Valley and discovered the spirit of the new frontier. 20 years later the Antinori Family purchased shares in a venture with England’s Whitbread and France’s Champagne Bollinger to develop a 1,200 acre Napa Valley wine estate, and assumed direct ownership of the estate in 1993. The estate was named “Antica Napa Valley” in 2006, with the Antinori Family’s belief that the Napa Valley estate’s intrinsic “DNA” will produce wines with great personality and style.

Bethel Heights – Oregon

“Bethel Heights, one of the Oregon’s best producers of Pinot Noir.” – Robert Parker

Planted between 1977 & 1979, Bethel Heights was one of the first vineyards in the Eola Hill, a chain of hills in the center of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Bethel Heights specializes not only in Pinot Noir, also produces Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and pinot Blanc.
