1.1 New Features

• LTE Troubleshooting Metric: LTE DL Throughput Analysis

This metric finds all the points in the drive where the UE was served with DL Throughput

lower than a certain value (DL App Throughput condition). It then further evaluates each of

those points and categorizes them based on root cause of low throughput.

• LTE Troubleshooting Metric: LTE Low CINR Analysis

This metric finds all the points in the drive where CINR was lower than certain value (CINR

Threshold). It then further evaluates each of those points and categorizes them based on

root causes.

• Implemented support for DL MOS Display on the Map, user can view DL MOS logged by

Accuver xcal under map window: VoLTE --> Audio Quality --> Audio

• Implemented VOLTE RTP metrics: Delay, Jitter, Packet Loss, and RTT are now available to

be viewed in map, table, time series chart, xy chart, pdf chart, and User Query

• Enhanced Elevation Profile in Wind Catcher Plus by providing the synchronization between

Map window and the Elevation profile window.

• Implementation of ‘Ascom Data Transfer Stalled’ event for Ascom Symphony files

A new Event called ‘Ascom Data transfer Stalled’ has been introduced to capture

conditions where the data transfer stalls and does not recover before the end of the task.

For time based FTP get, FTP put, HTTP get, HTTP Put and HTTP Browse tests:

� This logic will only apply to time based tests.

� This logic will not be evaluated if ‘Bytes Transferred’ for HTTP Put Task > 50

MB.

� This logic will not be evaluated for tasks that end in ‘user break’ or ‘system

break’

� Logic: If the last byte transferred within a task was more than 2.5 seconds before

the pre-defined task duration then ‘Ascom Data Transfer Stalled’ event will be

issue at the time of last successful transfer and Corresponding Task Failure event

will be issued at the end of the task.

For Example: Let’s say that the predefined Task Duration for time based tests is 25

seconds. A task has last successful data transfer at 21.5 sec from the time of first SYN.

Since 25 – 21.5 = 3.5 (greater than the threshold of 2.5 sec), this is a data transfer stall.

• Implemented adjustable Weak PCI Threshold for LTE PCI Usefulness TT#22641

• Implemented the feature to allow the user to choose the message color in the Message

Window. Right-click on the message type for which the color needs to be changed.

• Implemented the Option to choose the number of processors to be used to process data in

WCP.

• Implemented the feature to allow the keyword search in the Message Window to be non-

case sensitive.

• Support to see the tool tip as long as the user keeps the cursor on the bin.

• Enhancement in iDEN Monitor View of phone data browser, now both RSSI and SQE charts

have the same information on the X-axis. For the sectors that contain "No Data" we simply

get a bar with "Zero" Value

• Implementation of a new information table in the phone data Browser, which helps user to

do RF analysis. This is available together with the charts from the phone data browser.

• Implemented Co-Chanel Analysis for iDEN: This feature allows the user to plot a similar

sector thematic but with the channel information. When right-clicking the sector, the user

would be able to choose the Co-Channel field, inside the Co-Chanel user would be able to

select any of the possible channels (PCCH or TCH). Once the channel is selected the other

sectors having PCCH equal to the selected will be highlighted as green.

• Implementation of Zoom in/out with mouse Scroll in Time Chart, user will be able to zoom

in/out the X-axis in the time chart using the Mouse scroll button when the cursor is inside

• Added a new Event” EVENT_ANDREW_AUTOCALL_ACCESS_FAILURE” for Andrew Invex

Autocall vendor in the User Interface .

If a previous version of WindCatcher Plus is already installed on the computer, then while installing

the new version a pop-up window will appear to uninstall the existing version.

Please install Microsoft Framework 4.0 from

http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=17851

The link includes “Microsoft .NET Framework 4 client profile Framework 4 Extended”.

Once Microsoft Framework 4 is installed, users can verify complete installation by checking

the following installs using program list.

All windows applications must be closed prior to WindCatcher installation. If stand alone license

(Dongle) is in use, the user should unplug the dongle before starting the installation.

Download the WindCatcher.msi file and run it to begin the installation. Follow installation steps and

click Finish when complete.
