Be Aware In CareNAPSI)—If you or someone you care about is among the estimated 1 million Americans with Parkinson’s disease, a little knowl-edge can be a lifesaving thing.
The problem is, research shows, people with Parkinson’s are admitted to the hospital 50 percent more than their peers and threeout of four don’t get their medications on time while they’re there. Furthermore, the National Parkinson Foundation (NPF) foundthat the vast majority of hospital staff doesn’t know which drugs are unsafe for Parkinson’s patients.
Fortunately, you can change these odds. When Parkinson’s is well controlled—you get your medication on time, you receive con-sistently good medical care and you’re an active participant in your treatment team—you’re more likely to stay well. This lowersyour chance of being hospitalized and improves your ability to recover quickly from illness or surgery.
That’s why NPF launched the Aware in Care campaign. It aims to make sure every person with Parkinson’s gets the very best carepossible during a hospital visit. NPF provides free resources, including a Hospital Action Plan to help people prepare for a hospitalvisit, whether it is planned or an emergency.
For more information about the Aware in Care campaign and to download your free copy of the Hospital Action Plan, visitwww.awareincare.org or call NPF’s toll-free Helpline, (800) 4PD-INFO (473-4636), Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.(ET).

TNT Boat Tops has been a fixture in the Capital Region since 1964. Started by Anthony Zielinski Sr. in a traveling school bus and then renting space at Anderson Boat Shop and finally in 1964 opening his first shop on Mohawk Ave. in Scotia. During the 1970’s business became so good that Mr. Zielinski bought his own building and had nine people working for him.
TNT became a household name in the boat industry in Up-state New York. It still maintains an excellent reputation for
TNT BOAT TOPS
quality workmanship. In 1977, Anthony Zielinski Jr. started in the business just sweeping the floors and working part time for his father and was taught the craft by his dad, and in 1981 started working full time for his father and in 1990 finally took over the business. In 1997, Anthony moved the busi-ness to Browns Beach on Saratoga Lake. Since the closing of Browns Beach, Tony has relocated his business to 2109 Route 50 in Ballston Spa. There have been a few Boat and Canvas and Up-holstery businesses in the area, but TNT Boat Tops’ excellent reputation and quality workmanship is known as the best by customers in the Upstate Region.
Our specialty is Custom Work. Such as Custom Boat Canvas and Upholstery, Pontoon Mooring Covers & Enclosures, Aluminum & Stainless Steel Boat Frames, RV Interior Cushions & Panels Recovered, Truck Covers & Auto Seat Upholstery, Office/Kitchen & Bar Chairs Recovered, ATV/Tractor & Motorcycle Seats Recovered, Tent Zippers Replaced, Canvas & Sail Repairs, Air Condi-tioner Covers, Custom Barbeque Covers, Custom Deck Countertop Covers, Biminy Tops, Bow & Cockpit Covers. When it comes to Boat Canvas and Upholstery there is nothing that TNT cannot do. They have been in the marine textiles industry for 47 years and there isn’t much “we haven’t recovered, re-sewn or re-attached.”
