The turret offers 4 objective positions, allowing you to fit allthemagnificationpowerforyourapplication.Thestandard10xand20xobjectivecanbeextendedwitha50xorevena100xobjective,thusallowingforatotalmagnificationofupto1000x.The optional 5x objective, with its large field of viewmakesnavigationwithamotorizedXY-stageeasier.

Allcontrolofthehardnessinstrumentcanbehandledthroughcomprehensive software – automatically test and measureindentations, as well as set up and run automatic testingsequenceswithminimaloperatorinteraction.
ThebasicpackageoffersasimpleandcomfortableindentationmeasurementonthePCscreen,butwithmanualplacementofthespecimen.Displayingthe indentonascreencan improveidentification of indents and reproducibility of results. WiththeSemi-automaticversion,theindentpatternscanbeplacedby means of a motorized 100 x 100mm XY-stage. In Full-automaticmode,theZ-axisismotorizedaswell,providingrapidtest sequences and highly accurate positioning allowing thecomplete test sequence tobeperformed fromStart toFinishwithnouserinteractionrequired.
The automatic indentation measurement feature (standardin the fullyautomaticpackageandoptional in thebasicandsemi-automatic packages) not only reduces overall testingtime, it also reduces operator errors associatedwithmanualmeasurements.Thesoftwareusesadvancedimagingprocessesand algorithms that utilise a variety of methods to identifyindentborders.Adjustmentoftheseparameterstosuitawidevarietyofspecimenconditionsisalsopossible.
Usingasetofsimpletools,userscancustomizetestpatternsinaprogram.Programscanbesavedandusedwheneverrequired,edited, copied or amended. Pre-fabricated programs can be
loadedandamendedtosuitaparticularapplication.Saveset-uptimeandimprovepositioningaccuracywiththeseautomatictestingsequences.
