Last week, I explained what our staff is working on in conjunction with our sister schools in the Fraser Valley. Over the past few days, three of our teachers were out for a day working in their teams, and two (Mrs. LML and I) have yet to do so. We will both be out of the building this coming Tuesday. The grade 6/7 class will also have a substitute teacher on Thursday, as I am out to an all-day principal's meeting. And the pace doesn't slow in the next few weeks - I will be out for a music planning session next week and will be sharing the lead role in a CCHS ProD Day on April 22. Thanks again to the subs who ably tend the students while we are away. KD CITY OF SURREY CLEAN SWEEP Once again, William of Orange is participating in the City of Surrey Clean Sweep program. With the help of adult volunteers, we will be picking up trash on the streets around the school. Our Clean Sweep will take place on Friday April 15 at about 2:00pm. We require parent volunteers to make this event happen. Please volunteer your time using the permission slip attached to this snapshot. ORGAN/PANFLUTE/CHOIR CONCERT! Next Saturday, April 16, Andre Knevel and Liselotte Rokyta are performing at the Maranatha Canadian Reformed Church (12300 92 ND Ave, Surrey) at 7:30 pm. Our extracurricular children's choir will be joining them for three pieces (two psalms and a folk song). The choir members will need to be there at 5pm for the rehearsal. If any choir parents are willing to organize a light dinner for the performers (about 16 people), let me know. Admission is by donation. KD
