On behalf of the students and staff I would like to wish Nadine all the best in her new role. Amanda Cappello will be returning to the school in Week 6. We look forward to having her back working with students, staff and the leadership team. Amanda will be working Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday team teaching with Noel Young on Class 3. She will also be sharing the leadership role of Year 7, Year 8 and Year 9 with Maddy Imrie. Thank you to Maddy for the outstanding commitment and dedication she has shown in her leadership over the past six months. I have recently been appointed to a position in School Services in Queanbeyan with the Department of Education. This role is a three year contract with right of return to Willans Hill School. I will be starting in this role at the beginning of 2020 and a relieving Principal will be appointed to Willans Hill. I have enjoyed my time at Willans Hill School and I would like to thank all those in the community who have offered support during my time as Principal. I will be taking leave from the 13 June until the end of the term. Janelle Urbanavicius will be relieving in my role during my absence. Please contact her during this time if you have any concerns. A big shout out to our outstanding P&C members Kaylene Brown, Tara Tooze, Carmel Scarrone and Kathy Manning for the amazing work they did in organising the Mother ’s Day High Tea on Friday 10 May. Once again the P&C have gone above and beyond to support the school and their efforts are greatly appreciated. It was wonderful to be able to celebrate with and acknowledge the twenty-seven mothers and grandmothers who attended the morning tea. At the recent Willans Hill School P&C meeting parents requested the school explore the Skool Bag app to improve communication between the school and families. We are pleased to say that as a result of this feedback from the P&C the school has subscribed to the Skool Bag app. I would encourage all parents/carers to download the Skool Bag app so that you have easy access to information about what is happening in the school. If you need any assistance regarding the Skool Bag app please do not hesitate to contact the school. Gabrielle Sheather Principal
