ELS holds a Certificate of Authorization from the Professional Engineers of Ontario and has Licensed Professional Engineers on staff with experience from various fields including mechanical, electrical and structural. ELS designs its equipment to rigorous criteria which includes but is not limited to the following: National Building Code of Canada & Canadian Electrical Code Steel Design Code [CSA S16.1] CMAA #74 Specification for Top Running & Under Running Single Girder Electric Traveling Cranes Utilizing Under Running Hoists CMAA #70 Specification for Top Running Bridge & Gantry Type Multiple Girder Electric Overhead Traveling Cranes Occupational Health & Safety Act [o. Reg.851] for Industrial Establishments Welded Steel Construction Code [CWB W59] Manufacturing & Installations are performed by trained work staff, qualified to the Canadian Welding Bureau CSA Standard W47.1 and by licensed electricians. Specified equipment is inspected by the Electrical Safety Authority [ESA] on completion of manufacturing. ELS staff manufacture & structural blast as well as refurbish existing equipment. Installation capabilities include installation of new equipment, relocation of existing equipment or complete removal. As a supplier for many companies, ELS stocks many parts, including hoist components, work stations, festooning and bridge crane component parts. ELS Warrants their equipment and work (including installation, construction, repair and start-up) for one year or 2,000 hours, whichever comes first from the date shipped to be free of defects in material & workmanship and meets the standards and specifications agreed to in writing with our customers.
