While VR Tech’s ACT score average only went up a small amount the number of student scoring above 15 went up more significantly. Even more importantly the number of student scoring below 12 was reduced dramatically. Teachers taught lessons to prepare the students 3 days a week beginning in December to help increase test scores.

Social Justice Award
“In Education, the Social Justice award went to the Holland Public Schools VR Tech School. During its first year the school expected about 60 students to participate but more than double the number of students enrolled. This educational program is a true example of social justice, as it has encouraged many students who had fallen behind to catch up on their school credits and others who have dropped out to return and work on their diploma.”
