No egg, no fillers, no bread crumbs, just two choice cuts of dry aged Beef ground fresh every day and never frozen. are baked fresh every day by award winning local baker Peter Cook. Made to a special recipe exclusively for us our semi-brioche buns are made from locally sourced ingredients with a sourdough starter and are 100% natural. no chemicals, preservatives or raising agents! To us there is no such thing as “just a cheeseburger” It’s like walking into a hairdresser’s and saying “just a haircut” or going to a Bar and saying “just a drink”. In our quest for the perfect burger, we discovered so many different styles and variations. Beyond different sauces and toppings, we found different ways to prep and cook your patty from the smashed oniony meaty mix of an Oklahoma to the sweet juicy tang of an Animal style. Thick Patty Our original patty, 6 oz of freshly ground Herefordshire beef cooked in the New York style as a thick and juicy patty. Smashed Patties The classic style of hamburger, 2 x 3 oz freshly ground Hereford Beef patties Smashed thin and stacked in exactly the same way as the golden era of American Diners. Oklahoma Originating in the diners of Oklahoma, 2 x 3 oz beef patties, smashed into the grill with super thinly sliced onions until the two fuse together in their own juices. Animal Style Created by surfers in California Animal Style means applying sweet and tangy American mustard to your patty and frying it on the griddle, a technique that can be used on thick patties, smash patties, and Oklahoma patties. We started the Beefy Boys in 2011 in our hometown of Hereford as four backyard amateur cooks with a passion for local produce and dirty American style burgers and BBQ. After a hefty amount of online research and guinea pigging on friends and family, we entered the UK’s biggest BBQ competition Grillstock, winning the coveted title of Best Burger in 2014. After winning, we got to represent the UK at The World Food Championships in Las Vegas where we competed against 50 of the best Burger chefs in the world for the title of World’s Best Burger! we thought we would come last, have a nice holiday and come home, but somehow we defied all the odds and managed to come 2nd overall with our Burger winning the final. After taking the coveted title and fending off the attention of a psychotic hit man and deranged BBQ Pit master we gambled all our winnings on the roulette table! Lucky for us our lucky number 11 came in! we returned to the UK and used our winnings to set up our first restaurant, the Beefy Boys meat boutique in the Old Market, Hereford. we returned to the world burger championships in Orlando 2015, Alabama 2016, New Orleans 2018, and Texas 2019. We also converted our first food truck in 2019 to get our burgers out to as many people as possible. then came 2020! …….well less said about 2020 the better but we managed to expand our restaurant into the building next door!
