Who is Sidney Lewis?

Sidney Lewis was the youngest British Soldier in WW1 that was 12 years old and was born in Britain.

What did he do?

He bravely and proudly fought in the battle of the Somme for his loved country.

When did he do it?

He fought this war from the 1st of July, 1916 to November 18 of the same year. It was a long and painfull year for him, since he was only a boy and saw people dying before his eyes.

We personally think that we wouldn´t have done what he did because he didn´t have the chance to enjoy his childhood like we do and he must have been mentally tortured his whole life, and not thinking as normal children like we do today.

Conclusion

We learned about a brave boy named Sidney Lewis that fought in WW1 in the Western front and was only 12 years old. He did this for nationalism and was recognized for his bravery and this happened from June to August of 1916. One last thing we learned was that the Industrial Revolution was one of the factors that started WW1 and caused a lot of deaths because of technology in a much faster pase.
