As tension rises on the eve of the Battle of St Fagans, watch the soldiers arrive to set up camp, speak to the villagers and the crafts-people to hear their thoughts.

Sat 20 June, 10.30am–4.30pm Recreating a Medieval Prince’s Court

A day of lectures and an opportunity to see the building work, as we recreate the court of Llywelyn the Great, based on excavations at Llys Rhosyr on Anglesey.

Art at War During the First World War people continued to be creative despite the difficult conditions. See some examples from the St Fagans collection and make objects using similar materials and techniques.

Behind the Scenes: Creativity from Conflict Objects were made during the war to help heal, express emotion and to communicate feelings of love, loss and remembrance. Join curators to explore how conflict can inspire creativity.

Make an Aria A rare opportunity to experience arias being performed in the Castle grounds, inspired by the Museum’s First World War collections. The Make an Aria project is a collaboration between Music Theatre Wales, the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, St Fagans National History Museum and the Armed Forces community.
