Pharaoh: King of Egypt Leeds City Museum Pharaoh: King of Egypt features over 130 breathtaking objects from the British Museum’s collection, and explores the different roles of the Pharaoh, as head of state, chief priest and commander of the army. Performance - Tales from platform, pitch and podium Abbey House A celebration of sporting success and the bright lights of the stage, focussing on Leeds’ stars and performers. (Normal admission charge applies) The Victorian Look Book Lotherton Hall An exhibition exploring fashion and furnishing styles from 1837 - 1901, from gothic to aesthetic and exotic, to arts and craft. Queen Elizabeth II by Cecil Beaton: A Diamond Jubilee Celebration Leeds City Museum Featuring portraits of Queen Elizabeth II by royal photographer Cecil Beaton, this exhibition on tour from the Victoria and Albert Museum celebrates Her Majesty in her role as princess, monarch and mother. Fiona Rae - Maybe you can live on the moon in the next century Leeds Art Gallery This exhibition examines paintings from the last decade when Rae began to explore new visual conventions, mixing graphic and cartoon imagery with abstract marks and spontaneous gestures. Treasured! Smuggled, stolen, saved? Leeds City Museum Explore how objects from around the world have travelled to Leeds.
