It is likely that the device we are using is in the palm of our hand or in our lap.

Microsoft – Surface and Windows Phone

Amazon – Kindle Fire and Amazon Fire Phone

Google – Android technology licensed out for both tablets and phones to many manufacturers: Samsung, Acer, Asus, Dell. HP. Even a Kindle is Android at the core.

Google also makes Chromebooks - light Internet “appliances” that have limited functionality unless connected to the Internet.
