UCMDB 9.0 adoptsthe BTO Data Modeland lays the foundation for a more robust solution

Page 9: What’s new with UCMDB/DDM

New UCMDB Data Model

– The BTO Data Model becomes the native data model of UCMDB 9.0

– This is the core data model for all integrations between BTO products

DDMA z/OS Discovery

– The z/OS discovery consists of six discovery jobs –• EView Connection

− Discovers the various LPAR nodes that are configured for discovery in the EView/390z Discovery Client application

• LPAR Resources by EView− Discovers Host & Network resources on the z/OS (CPC, LPAR, CPU, Sysplex, Subsystems, Page datasets, Software, TCP/IP

configuration, etc.)

• DB2 by EView− Discovers DB2 on z/OS (existence of DB2 subsystems, DB2 DDF and aliases, DB2 databases, indexes and table spaces, data

sharing groups and members, etc.)

• MQ by EView− Discovers MQ on z/OS (existence of MQ subsystems, subsystem parameters, channel initiators, queue manager, queues,

channels, processes, etc.)

• CICS by EView− Discovers CICS on z/OS (subsystems and details on CICS regions)

• IMS by EView− Discovers IMS on z/OS (subsystems and details on IMS regions and database areas)
