WHERE AM I?

I am not easily seen from places above me, but you can see my colours, blue and green from the surface when you look at me. There isn’t a lot of air in my environment so you need special tanks to have a short visit.

I attract many tourists with my buzzing city filled with yellow cabs, broadway, the land of opportunity. I am always filled with people walking past my high rise buildings and my beautiful big park that looks over upper east side, Manhatten. I even have a great big statue on my harbour.

I love a sunburnt country,A land of sweeping plains,Of ragged mountain ranges,Of droughts and flooding rains.I love her far horizons,I love her jewel-sea,Her beauty and her terror The wide brown land for me!

a place of your choice to create your own ‘Where am I’.

Once completed choose another pair to share and guess their ‘Where am I’.

be creative, it can be a natural or manmade environment or an made up environment.

Table 2: Visual – Make a video of the school environment Using a Flip it camera or ipad record a video, sound file about your

chosen environment. You can include interviews, drama performances, music, videos and images.

Table 3: Auditory – Sounds of the Environment. Using musical instruments and different surfaces choose an

environment and compose a musical assortment to represent the sounds you think you would here if you were in the environment.

Include at least two categories to include information about your chosen environment. Consider: Name - Choose a specific environmentLocationClimateFlora and FaunaHuman ExistenceTopography

Be creative! You do not have to use power point to create your presentation, you can use ANYTHING to give information about your environment. E.g. Flip it camera, musical instruments, sculpture, wordle or collages.

Important Question for you to answer:What makes this environment unique and different?You will be asked to present your findings to the class in the form of an oral

presentation.
