MINISTER IN TRAINING CLASS

Page 2: What your Resources as a Minister Are

You are given the grace and power of Christ

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (KJV) 9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is

made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ

may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in

persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

The weaker the vessel, the more Christ is glorified

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (KJV) 9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my

infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake:

for when I am weak, then am I strong.

Page 7: What your Resources as a Minister Are

You are given the presence and power of the Holy Spirit• As a minister, you are equipped with God’s very own Spirit.

No greater power could ever be possessed by anyone• Once the early disciples experienced the coming of God’s spirit into their lives, they never again asked about earthly powers.• You have been given a task by God, a mission to carry out. You do not have the power to carry out that task, not within yourself. The power of God, of His Spirit is needed• Both the Spirit of God and His power is promised.• The Holy Spirit comes to you as a equipping power

You are given the presence and power of God

2 Corinthians 4: 6-7 (KJV)6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory

of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God,

and not of us.• This treasure is the Presence of God shining in the believer’s

earthly vessel.• God’s presence is a priceless treasure• God’s presence is placed into earthly vessels • God’s purpose for entering your body is to show His power by

overcoming all weaknesses—all trials and temptation.

and trials (1st Cor10:13)• It is the power to put His divine nature into you (2nd

Peter 1:4)• It is the power to give you life, both abundant and

his knowledge by us in every place.• It is God who causes you to triumph.• God always causes you to triumph. You will never

know defeat in a permanent point of view• The triumph is in Christ—and Christ Alone.
