WHAT WOULD YOU FIGHT FOR?

Page 2: what would you fight for? could you be the next contender?

More than a GymRingside is so much more than just a concept boxing gym, it’s a positive

reinforcement that affects all aspects of life. We specialise in combining

the skill in boxing, science and fitness, combined with a state of the

art facility.

Located within Les Mills Victoria Street complex, Ringside brings

the corporate and boxing world together in the common pursuit to

challenge the body, to succeed by overcoming obstacles.

The need for Corporate boxing arose from numerous corporate men

and women that began training at gyms, where they developed a level

of skill and passion that led to the hunger to compete but not wanting

to go into amateur boxing.

This is where Fight Night gives the opportunity for corporate men

and women to challenge themselves in a real boxing competition.

Road to Fight NightThe team at Ringside put all the contenders through an intense

12 week training programme. The journey challenges the contenders

physically, mentally and emotionally.

Under the guidance of experts including top level boxing trainers,

specialty trainers for speed, flexibility, nutrition, strength and endurance

they undergo personal development to rival any self-help programme.

The emphasis is on conditioning, fitness, confidence and learning

a skill. It is not on the blood sport itself. With such a varied training

programme, the contenders develop the extremely varied

skills required to become a successful boxer.

It’s certainly no easy road but well worth it. Fight Night is a chance to

share in their glory and support the final step in their journey.

Ringside Fight Night is where mild mannered corprorate’s, both guys and

girls, transform through training and in attitude, into a professional

prize-fighter and then matched up against one another in the ring for three,

two minute rounds, for the entertainment of their professional peers.

Contenders take on completely new personas, with their own fight name,

their own choice of suitably rousing entrance music, and then proceed

to knock the living daylights out of each other for fun. A video profile of

each Contenders journey is shown, just like the true professionals in the

ring, they aspire to be.

The transformation

is incredible as lights

and music envelop

you into a new world.

The atmosphere is

pure Caesar’s Palace.

Formally-attired rich,

famous and beautiful

people enjoy fine food

and wine & you’ll feel

like you’re at a million

dollar fight in Las

Vegas.

view possible. You can relax at your table and immerse yourself in

the delicious food, wine, music company and corporate rivalry.

to remember leaving guest and contenders with a thirst for more.

The night is a combination of fine food and wine, outstanding

entertainment and an inspiring display of bravery and athleticism.

Everyone is a winner on the night. Fight Night is becoming a must

on everyone’s social calendar.

ALL CONTENDERS MUST PURCHASE A RINGSIDE OR TIER ONE TABLE

OF TEN, 6 WEEKS PRIOR TO THE EVENT. THIS IS COMPULSORY.

At Cure Kids, our purpose is simple. Every day, we’re driven to find cures and

better treatments for serious illnesses and health conditions that affect thousands

of Kiwi kids.

How do we do it? Through the generosity of New Zealanders up and down the

country, we are able to fund the vital medical research that our kids need.

Cure Kids has already invested more than $37 million into research which has

contributed to significant medical breakthroughs that have saved, improved and

extended the lives of children both here and around the globe. We are currently

funding more than 30 research projects with some of New Zealand’s brightest

research stars.

Put simply: we fund the cures; they find the cures.

The funds raised through Fight Night 2016 will contribute to research across a range

of areas. Some of the projects Cure Kids is currently funding include Batten disease,

mental health issues, SUDI (cot death) and conditions often associated with poverty,

such as respiratory illnesses and skin infections.

Join the fight and share our vision for a healthy childhood for all Kiwi kids. Stand

beside our brave ambassadors as they face their own battles with conditions and

illnesses that mean they have to learn far too early in life how to fight to survive.

Thank you for helping us cure kids.

Cure kids is thrilled to partner with Ringside NZ and Les Mills for FIGHTNIGHT 14
