Having closely examined decisions that have defined the modern American presidency and personally interviewed those who have shaped the course of history, Mark Updegrove delivers unique insight into how leadership displayed inside the Oval Oce can be applied outside of it. Updegrove is a presidential historian and the author of four books on those who’ve served in the nation’s highest oce. As the presidential historian for ABC, he is a regu-lar contributor to Good Morning America and ABC News and has written for The New York Times, Time, Politico, Parade, National Geographic, Texas Monthly, and The Daily Beast. Updegrove currently serves as the inaugural CEO of the National Medal of Honor Museum. From 2009 to 2017, he was the director of the Lyndon Baines John-son Presidential Library. Earlier in his career, he served as publisher of Newsweek.

"Sexual Harassment and Bullying-Prevention and Prosecution"Hear the perspective of Utah youth council members as they address a societal problem that's in the national spotlight- sexual harassment and bullying. As students engage in a lively discussion, they'll learn how state lawmakers debate today's issues during the legislative session.

Group 1 will debate from 8:00 – 9:00 Group 2 will debate from 9:15 – 10:15

While students are not at mock hearing, they can meet with their legislators, attend legislative committee hearings, visit the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers Museum, visit the 4th floor “Who Tells Your Story” exhibit and take a self-guid-ed Capitol tour. (Docents on-site for 4th floor exhibit and meetings with elected o cials should be arranged by youth leaders.) Students can also participate in “Capitol Quest” challenge.
