We’ve already started with some Secondary Source research to help answer our question!

• Our Secondary Sources provided us with the context (story of HOW our country was taken over), the time frame, the key players (people’s names), how our country got its independence, and the type of government it has now.

• BUT we only have the “big picture” and now we need the details!!! We need to get specific!

• While we may still need to do MORE secondary research, we can now start to also research some Primary Sources.

Primary Sources

Primary sources are the “stuff of history”. But they’ll make a lot more sense if you do some solid secondary source research first.

Where can you find these sources?

LIBRARIES!!!

(You have your library card and the time – 3 day weekend! Now is the time to embark on Honors research by going to an actual LIBRARY.)

1. Do NOT leave without asking the librarian for help (they get paid to help you!)

2. Check out books, journals, magazines, etc and bring them to class on Tuesday! (bring change for making copies of newspapers, etc that can’t be taken out of the library!)
