What to Expect 1. Arrive at the Welcome Tent The Welcome Tent will be located at the South Entrance of campus. You will receive a Welcome Package that includes important information and documents. 2. Drive to Check-In Station Follow signs to the Check-In Station. This is where you will receive your room keys, name tag, and your T-Card, amongst other things. Please make sure to have a piece of government-issued I.D. While you are checking in, staff will direct the driver of your car to your residence Unloading Zone. 3. Unloading Zone Staff will be on hand to help family and friends unload your belongings while you are checking in. After you are done at the Check-In Station, please make your way to your designated Unloading Zone. Staff will likely already be moving your belongings to your room! 4. Your Car After unloading all belongings at the Unloading Zone, the driver should proceed to designated parking lots to avoid congestion and fines. After parking their vehicle, family and friends are welcome to join their student in unpacking and get settled in their room! 5. Join in the fun! Residents, as well as their family and friends, are welcome to join in on the festivities taking place! Please remember that you are expected to be at your mandatory community meeting beginning at 4:30pm. #WelcomeHome Enter SOUTH ENTRANCE at The Collegeway. Vehicles that enter at the NORTH and MIDDLE entrance will be stopped and asked to proceed to the SOUTH entrance at The Collegeway. Residence Road will be designated ONE WAY South bound for Move-In Day. Volunteers will greet all incoming taxis/vehicles and hand you a Move-In Day temporary parking pass. Please keep this parking pass on your dashboard at all times. Remember when checking in, you will need your UofT Identification Card or other government-issued photo identification with you. Students are to be dropped off at Oscar Peterson Hall to check-in and receive room keys & other important information. Vehicles are to proceed to the student’s unit unloading zone and begin unloading. The student who is checking-in will then meet the vehicle at the student’s unit unloading zone. PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON GRASS OR BLOCK DRIVEWAYS. You will have 10 MINUTES MAXIMUM TO UNLOAD. Volunteeers will assist you. Please move your vehicle to a temporary “free” parking zone in LOT #8 or #9 for the day. Please remember to leave parking pass on dashboard. Please drive carefully around campus, in the marshalling areas, and through the unloading zones; WATCH FOR PEDESTRIANS. If you become lost, look for ‘University of Toronto Mississauga, Residence Move-In Day’ directional signs, marshalls or volunteers wearing blue or white shirts. What to Expect1. Arrive at the Welcome TentThe Welcome Tent will be located at the South Entrance of campus. You will receive a Welcome Package that includes important information and documents.
