ANZAC Day ANZAC Day is on the last Thursday of the school holidays (25th April, 2019) and students are encouraged to represent our school in the march. Students are asked to assemble outside the cenotaph near the town library in Lachlan Street from 10:00 am. The march will start at approximately 10:30 am. Students are asked to wear their full winter school uniform. The dawn service will also be held at the cenotaph on ANZAC day and we hope many families will be able to aend. Holidays I wish everyone a fantasc holiday break and I look forward to seeing everyone back in Term 2. Mr Y Chambers, Principal. League tag Last Monday (1/4/19) thirteen girls headed to Leeton for the annual Open Girls League Tag Gala Day. The day began at 9.30 am with Hay’s first game at 10.30 against West Wyalong. The girls were pumped to play and went out winning their first game 6 - 0 with Hannah Stewart scoring a try and then converng it. The second game was to be the biggest challenge against St Francis who have a well developed team. All girls fought hard, however went down 3 tries nil at full me. The last game saw Hay up against Yanco Ag and aſter a very physical game, Hay won through a conversion to finish at 6 - 4. By the end of the three games played, all players were exhausted and ready to board the bus back to Hay. A big congratulaons to the girls for the effort put in during the day and well done to Hannah Stewart who was captain and was named players’ player by the team. League tag team Miss Caitlin Bradley has been appointed as a permanent visual arts teacher at Hay War Memorial High School. Student jackets (optional)
We are offering parents/carers the opportunity to purchase an optional school jacket for their child. These are available in sizes ranging from 12 to XL and all sizes cost $72.00.
Our jacket features the school logo on the front.
There are samples in the library for students to try for correct sizing and we recommend this is done for each order.
To order a jacket, please fill out the form below and return to the office by Thursday 11 April 2019. Please note this is a one-off bulk order and no further orders will be taken this year.
Please complete the tear off slip at the bottom of this page and return it with your cheque/cash/POP payment to the front office. Please make cheques payable to Hay War Memorial High School.
