What Makes It Hard To Sustain The Divinity of Indian Brahmin Marriages?- A Case Study Abstract—Marriage is regarded as one of the critical pillars in the oldest and richest world of traditions and rituals in Indian heritage. Of these, Brahmins are regarded as scholars and who follow traditions and rituals even in the modern world. Marriage is the most critical phase of one’s life and a Brahmin marriage is a divine ritual usually performed for 5 days. The process for finding a bride and the procedures for marriage and the guidelines for a sustainable marriage are explicitly and clearly documented in Sanatana Dharma. In this paper, we unfold the promises that are made by bride and groom in the marriage process while unfolding each and every mantra, their meanings and the impact of these mantras in their relationship. An analysis of the history and literature of Indian marriages and more specifically Brahmin marriages reveals that there is “no separation” of couple once married under any circumstances. However, unfortunately, recent trends suggest that these marriages are also being broken often because of dramatic and weird activities. We make an attempt to list the key reasons and rationale for this pathetic situation based on a case study. We particularly emphasize how modern immoral trends like secret cybersex before and after marriage, undermining of ethics and values, support of felon family for these kinds of activities play a major role in dismantling even traditional marriages. We then elaborate how digital records and logs reveal the hidden secrets and immoral activities of criminals. We finally end the paper by suggesting ways to move forward towards sustaining Indian Brahmin marriages. What Makes It Hard To Sustain The Divinity of Indian Brahmin Marriages?- A Case Study
Abstract—Marriage is regarded as one of the critical pillars in the oldest and richest world of traditions and rituals in Indian heritage. Of these, Brahmins are regarded as scholars and who follow traditions and rituals even in the modern world. Marriage is
the most critical phase of one’s life and a Brahmin marriage is a divine ritual usually performed for 5 days. However, unfortunately, recent trends suggest that these marriages are also being broken
often because of dramatic and weird activities.
