What is special about the Super Luigi Bros game? Know here…

The game was part of the year of Luigi, which celebrates 30 years of Luigi tagging along with his brother on platformes and other, multiple games, even having games of his own.

To begin with it wasn’t a game itself, but an expansion to new super Mario bros u. The game had such fame that Nintendo created a neat green-boxed edition of it with the emblem of the Year of Luigi and it frees you from having to buy New Super Mario Bros.

Old-school players like me find this game to be extremely enjoyable, why? Because it shows some challenging elements that evoke platformers from the third generation consoles, jumps that may be unreachable, items that challenge your wit and the 100 seconds limit per level make this game enjoyable, the lack of Checkpoints brings you back to SMB3 where such thing didn’t existed.

You play with this Luigi on Super Luigi U, he jumps super high, but he slides a lot, its no downfall once you get used to the sliding part, it also helps Luigi gain momentum and acceleration which can be useful to make those unbelievable jumps over some gaps that seem unreal.

Nintendo even came up with a character called Nabbit, who replaces Mario when you go Multiplayer, the two friendly toads from the ”new” series are here, but Mario is nowhere to be seen.

If you follow Super Luigi Bros. and you likely do, you are here, reading my words, then you surely know everything about this whimsical and yet common character called Luigi, Taller than his younger brother, Luigi has always been the underdog but yet loved by their fans.

I remember that a long time ago when Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels came up to me on my copy of Super Mario All Stars and super Mario world I was impressed to see I could play just with Luigi, I’ve always been a super Luigi fan (I mean, here I Am at super Luigi bros? It’s ringing a bell, heavily) but I was impressed when Luigi would just slide across levels, and his super high jump kept me playing with him exclusively until I beat the game, for the first time (that was a long month).
