What is Dental Implant? It is an advanced medical technology for the treatment of tooth loss. A titanium implant is implanted in the toothless area of the jawbone. The jawbone fuses with the titamium surface providing a strong anchorage for the implant. The implant functions as a support for the dental prosthesis constructed over it. What are the benefits of Dental Implants? It can treat cases untreatable with conventional methods of dental bridges and dentures. It prevents further resorption of the jaw bone following tooth loss. It can perfectly restore chewing function It avoids cutting down and overloading the natural teeth occurring with conventional means of replacing tooth loss. What is involved in the implant procedure?
Once you and your doctor have identified your treatment plan, having a dental implant placed
can be as simple following
Step1
An Dental Implant is placed into your jawbone.
The operation is performed under aseptic condition at Aggarwal Dental Implant Centre
with proper facilities and condition for oral implant surgery.
Local anaesthesia is given for pain control during the operation. Intravenous sedation can
be given if necessary. Pain which may occur after the operation can be effectively
controlled with oral medications.
Step2 This part of the implant treatment does not require anaesthesia. Once the implant has
integrated into your jawbone, in a simple procedure, the implant is uncovered and a post
is attached to it. Impressions (models) of your upper and lower jaws are taken and sent to
a laboratory for the creation of your new tooth/teeth.
Step3
Your new tooth/teeth are atttached to the implant posts and are fully functional.
What should I expect after treatment?
Dental implants will require the same care as your natural teeth to keep your implant healthy,
proper brushing and flossing still apply!
How successful is the treatment?
Modern oral implants are highly successful with the success rate higher than 95%.
