Saturn’s RingsSaturn’s Rings are made up of millions of pieces of ice and dust, although the rings may have formed from pieces of moons and comets that came close to it! Saturn has 7 major rings. Saturn’s rings are extremely thin, though they stretch for more than 124,000 miles (200,000 km) into space, they are only 100 feet (30 m) thick.

Fun fact about Saturn’s rings!● Saturn’s rings were first observed in 1610 by the astronomer Galileo Galilei. ● Saturn has four main rings and three are fainter. ● Saturn’s rings can spin as fast 1,100 mph ( 1,800km/h).

Saturn’s Main MoonsSaturn’s main moons are Titan, Enceladus, Iapetus, and Mimas. Titan is Saturn’s biggest moon, and the second biggest in our Solar System! It is much different from our moon because it has clouds and has a dense-planet like atmosphere. It’s frozen surface is spotted with dark lakes with liquid methane! Yuck! It is pretty big, at almost the size of Mars!

Fun Facts about saturn’s Moons!● It takes 15,945 days to orbit Saturn! Thats crazy!● Titan’s temperature is -290 degrees Fahrenheit! That’s so cold!● Titan was named after Greek Mythology. How cool is that?!

Saturn’s Atmosphere!Saturn’s atmosphere is mostly made up of Hydrogen, (96.3%) but it is also made up of Helium and Trace Gases (3.7%) of Saturn. The layers of Saturn go Hydrogen and Helium as the atmosphere, then Metallic Hydrogen as the Mantle, Water, Methane and Ammonia Ices in the outer core and in the inner core is iron. Since Saturn is a gas giant, it has no land, so no one can step foot on it or research on the planet.

Fun Facts About Saturn’s Atmosphere● Saturn’s atmosphere has some gases that unknown!● In Saturn’s atmosphere, there are gases like methane and ammonia.● Saturn, Jupiter, Neptune and Uranus could have built enough fusion power so

they could of became suns.

Saturn’s Size!Saturn has a mass of 95.2 earths, on top of that it has a diameter of 72,367 miles,(116, 464 km!) That means the radius of the body of Saturn is 36,148miles (58,323 kilometers),however the giant planet spins completing a day in just over ten and a half hours. How long does it take saturn to revolve around the sun? Saturn's revolves or orbits around the sun once every 29.4 earth years or once every 10,775.7 earth days.

Fun Facts About Saturn's Size

● You can fit 95 Earth’s in Saturn!● Since Saturn is so big, it can be seen by a naked eye.● Jupiter is 3x as big as Saturn!

Saturn’s Distance Saturn is the 6th planet in our Solar System. The distance between the sun and Saturn is 29 years away, which is 888.2 million miles away! Thats why its so cold there! Saturn is also 655 million miles away from its neighbor, Jupiter! Saturn is so interesting, right!?
