REASONS FOR THE THINGS I AM HAPPY WITH•The main image (location, costumes, make-up, posing) I controlled all of these, that’s why I made it just the way I wanted it. It represents a bit more mature life than in high-school by the use of colours, the darker background, that is mainly what I like. Also the lighting was quite good, the image is not too dark, it was easy to focus on model’s face and to get all the facial features I wanted to get, such as her pierced nose which connotes about my target audience.

•I am happy about my issue number, price and barcode, they look in the right place, quite professional, also I like the font of them. The same with my masthead. I really like the font of it and the outline colour which goes together with model’s scarf just like in real magazines.

REASONS FOR THE THINGS I AM UNHAPPY WITH

•I tried to change my model’s hair into one colour (naturally her hair are lighter near roots, I wanted to get rid of that), but I could not manage to do that. It might look quite fashionable (so it works with my T.A BUT it is not the way I wanted it to be. Moreover her face looks just too blurry, as if I would have cleared it, but I haven’t done anything with it, also not being professional in using PS means not knowing how to change it and make it perfect.

•I really don’t like the place of the puff, the colour of it and the font. The colour was supposed to match model’s badge but I didn’t know how to do that. The font just looks so unnatural whereas I tried to fit the magazine in more ‘natural’ T.A understanding about college. Also some of the cover lines very obviously has not the same outline colour therefore this makes them fade into model’s hair.
