Nikon D7000 – DSLR

I will be shooting with a Nikon D7000DSLR for full HD 1080p resolution and for themanual shooting function.

Nikkor 50mm f/1.4D lens

The Nikkor 50mm f/1.4D lens is a prime lens with very low aperture allowing me to shoot with a shallow depth of field when focusing onto one object/person

Tripod

The tripod will allow me to shoot smooth pan shots, keep the camera steady and stable when shooting.

SpeakersThe speakers are very important when I’m shooting my music video; I will need to play the song when shooting the lip-sync scene to allow my actor to synchronise with the song and know which part of the song he is lip-syncing.

iPhone 6

I will need to use the iPhone 6 to shoot in 240 FPS for a slow-motion shot when breaking a glass bottle.

JeansJeans is mandatory for my music video because it is a semi-casual piece of clothing that matches with the style of my genre ‘Pop’. I also chose this because it would be a great combination with the black and white shirt. Further will be discussed.

White and Black shirtOn my brief, I’ve explained the strong contrasts between light and dark that I will be using in my music video and I believe that the combination of white and black shirt will create a very great synergy.

Shades/SunglassesI believe that a pair of sunglasses will make my actor look really ‘badass’ which also suits the black and white shirts that I have him to wear.

Crucifix necklaceThe crucifix necklace will tell the audience that my character believes in god and god will help him when there’s a conflict.

Kong

Stonehouse Cliff and Grass fieldI chose these locations because the cliff can emphasize freedom with a high angle shot and this also contrasts with the song title ‘Locked Away’.

Gloucester City centerI will be doing a time lapse of my actor with a lot of people walking around him. This will create an effect of the actor that seems like he is ‘out of placed’ and lost. This will show that he is ‘locked away’ because he doesn’t belong in that area.

Brick WallThe brick wall is for my actor to lean against it for emphasizing the ‘simple-ness of his character. I will be using this brick wall for lip-syncing most of the time.

Abandoned warehouse This abandoned warehouse can establish the loneliness of my character, it seems like no one is with him and he has no way out of the place; so it’ll seem like he is literally ‘Locked Away’.

Props• Beer Bottle• Spinning shuriken

Beer Bottle• I will be using the iPhone to record

the beer bottle getting smashed in 240 fps slow-motion. This will emphasize the characters heart: shattered into little pieces.

Spinning ShurikenI believe that this spinning shuriken can emphasize a living life, at the end of my music video, this will stop as if my character is dead.
