Making a product waterproof isn’t difficult, but making a product waterproof, breathable and durable enough to retain these properties over time is difficult, and at Bisley Workwear we have achieved just that.Bisley Workwear wet weather garments have been designed to keep you dry and comfortable and protect you from the elements at work. Our garments offer water and wind resistance in lightweight fabrics that repel rain and water, keeping you dry whilst remaining breathable so you are comfortable at all times.
In the Research & Development process Bisley Workwear’s waterproof 300 Denier polyester oxford has been extensively tested against Australian and International wet weather methods to ensure we are providing the best protection available. Our Oxford fabric with PU coating has performed extremely well under Australian wet weather fabric tests such as water repellency – spray rating (AS 2001.1.16) and water resistance – hydrostatic method (AS 2001.2.17). Our fabrics achieved great results. A spray test rating result above 80 (highest level is 100) and a high waterproof penetration resistance of up to 20,000mm (200Kpa/H2O). Our wet weather fabrics have also been tested under the International standard - EN 343:2003 - Protection against Rain. This standard tests two properties, 1) water resistance and 2) water
vapour penetration (also known as permeability or breathability) of the fabric. Under these 2 testing methods our fabric results have reached or exceeded Class 3 which is the highest standard available. For reassurance we also tested our wet weather fabrics against the American standard for Water Vapour Penetration (ASTM E96/E96M:2010) achieving a result of over 3,750grams/m2/24hrs.
All Bisley Workwear wet weather garments are 100% seam sealed – to ensure your continued protection from water penetration whilst at work.
All our Bisley winter garments, have been designed to meet Australian and New Zealand Safetywear standard: AS/NZS 4602.1:2011 and all of our fabrics and materials meet the AS/NZS 1906.4:2010 standard.
