The Foundation for Westwood Education Announces 2018’s Shining Star The Foundation for Westwood Education congratulates Eileen Erwin for being named the winner of the Foundation’s 2018 Shining Star Award. Mrs. Erwin, the main office administrative assistant at the Sheehan School, was chosen as the 2018 Shining Star for her extraordinary attention to the needs of Sheehan’s students. Nominations submitted to the Foundation described Mrs. Erwin’s caring attention and kindness in her dealings with students, as well as her ability to remain unruffled when unexpected schedule changes pop up daily. “Mrs. Erwin not only keeps things running smoothly at the Sheehan School, she also goes out of her way to know each child and make them feel recognized and loved,” say parents. “Mrs. Erwin spreads love and helps make the Sheehan feel like a big family”. Students say she is “funny and welcoming to all”. The Shining Star Award is a Foundation for Westwood Education fundraising initiative designed to further the Foundation’s mission by recognizing one individual each year for his or her exceptional contribution to the educational and cultural environment of Westwood. The Foundation is recruiting new members for its Board of Directors. If you are interested in joining the Board of Directors, please email [email protected].
