Being part of the WCA is my way of giving back and it is an integral

part of my company’s continued success. We lead the way on so many

important community and business issues. Over a decade ago, we led the

way in the healthcare debate in response to the challenges our healthcare

providers were facing. We provided vision for the transformation of the

I-287 corridor eight years ago—from the Platinum Mile to the Medical Mile—

and now much-needed multi-family housing for the community.

We’ve had one of the best workforce development programs in the

countr y—as rated by the federal government— where we trained

and placed more than 400 candidates into new jobs.

HEALTHCARE AND LIFE SCIENCES: With the leadership

from world-renowned healthcare systems, physician practices, and

businesses, WCA advocates for governmental policies that protect

and strengthen the foundation of our healthcare ecosystem. WCA

develops critical policy recommendations to help reduce the cost of

healthcare in our region. In addition, WCA brands Westchester and the

region as a hub of excellence in life science innovation from biotech

start-ups to global biotech giants.

REAL ESTATE & HOUSING: WCA is at the forefront of creating

the environment for smart planning and development; working with

communities to fill regional housing needs with a specific emphasis on

downtowns and near mass transit; and developing recommendations

and initiatives to stimulate new business growth, including upgrading

our infrastructure, streamlining our government regulations, and

modernizing our transportation network.

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT: WCA works with key

regional stakeholders to create a sustainable talent ecosystem that

efficiently and effectively matches qualified candidates with

unfilled jobs. This collaborative effort brings in experts from training

providers, employers, and colleges and universities, and promotes

best practices that help organizations to improve their recruitment

and retention results.
