Page 1 SUNDAY BREAKFAST RUN 10 DECEMBER 2017 [JACKIE] On Sunday morning we woke to an overcast sky, cool wind not sure if it was going to rain. I met up with Daniel, Fin and Mike at Pinehaven. Only 3 bikes, ZX14’s... Mike suggested a new venue out Harties way and soon we were on our way, following him at a steady pace. We took the long way round, via Skeerpoort, passing the squatter camp, The Old Pastorie and heading towards the Van Gaalen Cheese Farm. We turned right and soon saw this stunning new Venue – Aviators Brewing Co in big red letters. There were a few cars and bikes in the parking lot, a neatly paved area. The venue consists of a pub area inside with a huge veranda with ample seating space, while they also have many wooden benches under the trees and umbrellas. An outside stage for per- forming artists completes the garden area. Helicopter hangers with helipads and lawns for more heli’s to land....The place is owned by two brothers, of which one is a pilot. Walls painted with images of historic war planes, the bar counter and chairs made up from aeroplane parts...stunning! Service was speedy, coffee good and soon we ordered our brekkies. The menu offers a wide range of food, catering for anyone’s needs at rea- sonable prices. Once again we got our food served quickly, we ordered before 4 helicopters landed with guests/families. A group of Adven- ture Riders (behind bars) arrived and soon the place was packed. A country singer from Rustenburg spoilt us with a few songs before we left, even though she was only scheduled to start later. A place to revisit when more Members are riding.... Good food, with fellow bikers enjoying the fresh air. We left just before 12h00 with Mike leading us again to the Satellite road. We saw him off and soon a GSXR came flying past me (I was do- ing a fairly high speed) a gut feel stopped me from chasing.....and seconds later I saw a big baboon cross just behind him... The three of us enjoyed a cold one at Bru House and watching the clouds and signs of lightning towards Krugersdorp we headed home. I got a bit wet as I turned into Voortrekker road but was almost home so it was a cool down to end my riding time for the day.
