MUSIC AS WE GATHER Gigi Plautz PRELUDE Jessica Meinders ANNOUCEMENTS GREETINGS Pastor Lourdes OPENING PRAISE SONG As the Deer Pants for the Water (Maranatha Music) Jessica Meinders COMMUNITY PRAYER Karalee Lamon CHILDREN’S TIME Pastor Lourdes * READING THE SCRIPTURE Judges 13:1-3; 17-25 Karalee Lamon 13 The Israelites again did things that the Lord saw as evil, and he handed them over to the Philistines for forty years. 2 Now there was a certain man from Zorah, from the Danite clan, whose name was Manoah. His wife was unable to become pregnant and had not given birth to any children. 3 The Lord’s messenger appeared to the woman and said to her, “Even though you’ve been unable to become pregnant and haven’t given birth, you are now pregnant and will give birth to a son! 17 Manoah (the woman’s husband) said to the Lord’s messenger, “What’s your name, so that we may honor you when your words come true?” 18 The Lord’s messenger responded to him, “Why do you ask my name? You couldn’t understand it.” 19 So Manoah took a young goat and a grain offering and offered them on a rock to the Lord. While Manoah and his wife were looking, an amazing thing happened: 20 as the flame from the altar went up toward the sky, the Lord’s messenger went up in the altar’s flame. When Manoah and his wife saw this, they fell facedown on the ground. 21 The Lord’s messenger didn’t reappear to Manoah or his wife, and Manoah then realized that it had been the Lord’s messenger. 22 Manoah said to his wife, “We are certainly going to die, because we’ve seen God!” 23 But his wife replied to him, “If the Lord wanted to kill us, he wouldn’t have accepted the entirely burned offering and grain offering from our hands. He wouldn’t have shown us all these things or told us all of this now.” 24 The woman gave birth to a son and named him Samson. The boy grew up, and the Lord blessed him. 25 The Lord’s spirit began to move him when he was in Mahaneh-dan, between Zorah and Eshtaol. SERMON The News! PRAISE SONG As the Deer Pants for the Water (Maranatha Music) As the deer panteth for the water / So my soul longeth after Thee
You alone are my heart's desire And I long to worship Thee
You alone are my strength, my shield / To You alone may my spirit yield
You alone are my heart's desire And I long to worship Thee
You're my friend / And You are my brother
Even though You are a King /I love You more than any other
So much more than anything /
You alone are my strength, my shield / To You alone may my spirit yield
You alone are my heart's desire And I long to worship Thee
I want You more than gold or silver /Only You can satisfy
You alone are the real joy giver / And the apple of my eye
You alone are my strength, my shield / To You alone may my spirit yield
You alone are my heart's desire And I long to worship Thee

PRAISE SONG How Great is our God (Worship & Song 3003)
The splendor of a King, clothed in majesty / Let all the Earth rejoice / All the Earth rejoice / He wraps
himself in light / And darkness tries to hide
And trembles at His voice / Trembles at His voice
How great is our God, sing with me / How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God
Age to age He stands / And time is in His hands / Beginning and the end
The Godhead Three in One / Father Spirit Son
The Lion and the Lamb / The Lion and the Lamb
How great is our God, sing with me / How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God
Name above all names / Worthy of our praise / My heart will sing / How great is our God
You're the name above all names / You are worthy of our praise
And my heart will sing / How great is our God
How great is our God, sing with me / How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God
How great is our God, sing with me / How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God
